At some point during the day I'd like to do a wee bit of a photoshoot for the KG SS blokes, and get some real good shots. We've got a few props coming in the form of a couple of Panzerschrecks, Panzerfausts, MG42, greandes, and the like, we need an ammo belt/100rnd link if anyone has it. Also feldgrau tunics, if you have them please bring them, as I'd like some shots with helmet covers and feldgrau uniforms, a bit like my avatar.

I had a chuckle to myself over that - they have no idea how much graft it will be getting all those props and extra clobber up the steps of doom to the site

Thats incredibly detailed section and platoon battle drills and ridiculously over the top for airsoft.
I mean i used a bit of that stuff for colour and feel at arnhem but i think you guys are actually in for far more of a 'hardcore milsim' experience than the pbi day was....

By the way Steve - all that crap is for your eyes only, not instruction for your men.
I have no idea why armed forces make things so complicated (probably so they can make a course out of it ) but all that list says is brief your men clearly, concisely and completely before going into battle!
Indeed. I did PM Chris and just said that I wondered why he'd assumed I'd be leading, but also mentioned that I thought he was overcomplicating what is a very simple matter. He replying saying not to worry, it was just about making sure people didn't run around like headless chickens and knew what to do.
Rhys also PMd me as he'd received the same. He thought it was hilarious especially as Che has told him that the pioneers are going to be concentrating on killing as many Germans as possible!!
The ambush went perfectly and the platoon movements looked very impressive.
WTF?! The ambush was a shambles! A third of us got away and flanked to their rear!
Anyway, so you know SH's 'para' mates never turned up and Dave, Guy and I cobbled together a bit of training in the morning. Stubble managed to give the Yanks a total of about 45 minutes of training half of which was utterly useless for airsoft, but he was very good at doing it, if only he'd concentrate on that instead of photos.
The guys enjoyed it though and really gelled. Hopefully they'll use some of this at the next game.
They are SHOCKINGLY unfit though.
