Thought it was about time we had one of these. Random musings, conversations, the shit that doesn't fit into any of the threads on the "private" forums. Plus, hopefully it'll give us a place to continue the tangents we all go off on, and keep the place a little bit more organised to boot :D

OK, a few to start us off.

1: I am abso-fuckin'-lutely amazed at what SH & Co. have managed to do. Shit, its far less than a year since the first CiA bash, and there's an organised team coming out of it already? truly gobsmacking

2: Over 200 productive members on the forums, and it's steadily climbing in numbers.

3: Has CiA created a monster? yup, you betcha it has. I got Gary (Warlock) interested in the whole WW2 thing on MSN, now, SYA are organising their first WW game. Will we see more of this? definately. Ewart is already trying to get interest for one at Fireball over on the ASSCOCK forum.

4: Any chance of a news feed on the front page? - a la Arnies. This place is *the* WW2 resource for Airsofters now. I've got lots of retailer/manufacturer contacts who i'm sure would supply us with news articles - might bring a few more people in, you never know.

5: Why am I allowing myself to be stuck in the Welsh woods with Gadge at CR? God only knows what he'll get up to

Put your musings here, and continue the thread of inane rambling...

Sounds like a plan... :) CW make it so... (okay I'll help if need be)

Heh... I posted the Arnhem video up on the US WW2 yahoogroup... one in particular was very impressed...

It seems they only have access to 2 acres of paintball site for their games...

700 acres of woodland and a large disused factory kind of made him rather jealous... I wait to see what he thinks of the underground bunker... lol!

Fireball's game will probably allow DPM and modern gun variants. I had heard a rumour that they were going to run a WW2 game on the 200 acre paintball site adjacent to FB but this seems to have died a death.

I'm slightly disappointed at the number of Yanks out there now. Everyone seems to have turned to Kraut or Tommy. Iamheritic seems to be one of the only dedicated WW2 Yanks.

Hopefully with CW allowing Yanks I'll seem some of my band of brothers there.

I recently hooked up with a girl I've known for six years for rather good casual sex and no strings attached, although there's a chance she may get a boyfriend in mid-June. I'm hoping she doesn't.

Not sure you are right there HS - looks like some of those who switched from US to Brit for Arnhem have gone back to US for Churchills. Brits in the minority!

And that dirty talk about casual sex swings my mind back to Helga - only three weeks to go to find out the truth. A Teutonic beauty or Kraut battleaxe?

Ah, I assumed that most of those who had gone Brit had made the switch permanently, I should really check the booking thread! 8)

BTW, I am getting that sense of disinterest in the threads I've posted in Allied Private forum. You Krauts seem to talk a lot about how you're going to play the game, even if it all goes to pot on the day! ;)

I'm saying Kraut battleaxe, but then I'm very fussy.

Couldn't give a stuff if your Brit or US, your all targets to the 27th Panzers

Just had another (probably dumb) idea. Looking at the link OS posted up - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ANT-Z-MILITARY - whose up for a bit of Officer FARByness at Josh's gig in November?

The two sticky threads. One a re-hash of my one from The Bulge, the other about hand signals.

I've just updated the usergroups to be correct for Chuchill's... I'll post a reminder to the allies to get their deposits in.

It will be late... but there may be chance to get it in during our briefing!
