I went as part of the vehicle crew to TA's 2,3,4,5 and PR1 ( which was his rebranding to get away from the babd publicity of the TA events!) and they were all crap . It was where I first met Andy Cracking Day BTW
No really, so poorly organised that when the players said they were suing Paypal to get their money back I agreed with them . Us on our worst day maginable doesn't even come close.

What irritates me is people never learn .

It's the big games... that's the problem. To run one successfully takes a lot of effort and all it takes is a few people to feck it all up.

I think I'll stick to small games, they are far more enjoyable.

Shame is that for a lot of new players and individual walk ons the pull of a 'big game on a flashy site' will always be there.

I had enough after my second stirling game with 300 odd there.

The bigger the game the worse the lowest common denominator gets.

My classic example is the cocks who turned up to the 'all out war - north korea' game as UK armed response unit police, didnt give a stuff about the back story, just wanted to mooch about in expensive swat kit.

LOL I remember that lot , met them a few times before .....cock snorklers.co.ck

Got told the lad who ran them who had a look alike car, once stopped to "help" at a traffic accident , and was arrested by the real cops for impersonating a police officer

That would be Jason Whitely and his lot. I know him from way back - the arrest thing by Plod is total BS by the way. Mind you, he did get threatened with arrest by the Gendarmerie during the European Cannon ball run. Wasn't in one of his plod wagons then. Was in a TVR. With him and his co-driver dressed as nuns (seriously!)

As to running big games, Mark M and I ran Eurogames at FireFight for 250 or so players donkeys years ago. We took close to a year to get it planned, and relied on a staff of 35 to do it justice.

'all out war - north korea' - turns out that me and Gadge were on opposite sides at that game

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
