Great fun, really appreciate the effort put in by the organisers. Scenario worked well despite lack of British numbers.

Best parts for me were defending the copse from the trench before lunch and the radio station after lunch, as a pile of bodies built up in front of my position. Lunch was quite atmospheric, just lying there in the stubble with my helmet for a pillow, a quiet buzz of conversation going on and the drone of a plane overhead, bit of a being there moment.

Great stuff organisers really enjoyed it as usual. My lads loved the props especially the Mine laying and then exploding the ones which did not go off. Nice to see some new faces as well as some seasoned Germans, just a shame some of the Brits didn`t turn up, still had a great time. :good:

Well done Steiner for trying to shove the Brits in the right direction to keep the momentum.

Best bits:-
Throwing a grenade at the jeep as it crossed the obstacle field killing it.
Getting another Luger kill
Watching the Arc of a mortar round gracefully make its way to Boshmans head, just missing by a nats whisker

:good:

was a bit of role reversal, should have been despirate germans defending against the allied might, instead we had despirate brits pressing attacks against superior german numbers  .having said that it was a good day and the lost brits obviously were supplied their maps by the yanks :slap: .good props ,sporting play, fine weather and a good sotial, thanks to all involved in planning and playing. :good:

Great weekend, always a pleasure to meet up with the usual suspects and meet a few new ones. I enjoyed the game but as said the lack of sufficient british numbers gave them a very hard task, but they did battle on bravely. Great pics by Steinlager.

Myself and Tom both had a great day, many thanks to the organisers :good:

Luckily the trip home only took 4 hours instead of the 6 it took to get there :slap:

Nice to put some more faces to the forum names: Hänschen klein, Steiner, dadio, Fremsley & Zero Bravo as well as seeing some familiar faces. :)

Boshmans sidecar combi was superbe and great to see how an 8 zelt tent looks, me an Tom now planning to get one.

The Brits showed great courage in attacking superior numbers and it was great to change the pace with a German attack in the long woods later in the day.

Got shot twice in the face which drew blood, so think I deserve a wound badge next time I order some gear :giggle:

Enjoyed playing with the Kar98 and even got a kill with my new Luger :happyclap:

The evening socials were great, as was the Hog Roast.

Hope to see you all again soon. :good:

PS: Marsha's Garage is now open for business

A big thank you to all the organisers for this event; it was clear a lot of work had gone into it all once again.

It was a shame there weren't more Brits there, at times Germany looked to be pretty safe from invasion.

Thanks to Steiner and Fremsley for trying to make us some sort of cohesive fighting unit which clearly wasn't easy at times, but was the only way we stood any chance of even approaching our objectives. Thanks to Fremsley again for the loan of the Sten throughout the day.

High points were my first grenade kill in the little copse and of course using Dadio's Bren, massive thanks to Gav for that and apologies to those I may have overkilled as a result of over enthusiasm and/or appalling hearing.

A good day - I'm thoroughly enjoying this WW2 airsoft lark.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.
