The Russians are at the gate meine kamaraden . The Soviet menace is closing in on the Reich, and I am asking you all to make a final push to hold them back from our beloved Fatherland .

It will be a tough battle , the terrain is hard, our vehicles will take a punishing, however I am sure the troops who so comprehensively routed the allied so called Jedburgh commandos recently will rise to the challenge.
We have had a long time to prepare positions, we fight on a position of equal strength to the Mogolian hoards, and will will send out our patrols to dominate the area.

We are going to kick Stalins arse back to the Kremlin, and buy the Reich some time to prepare our final assualt using our new wunderwaffen .

More soon, however this will be gritiest battle of the year.

Well Kameraden . Having been on advance recce , I can say we now have a very nice campsite form which to operate. Flat, under cover, well drained

At the moment we have two maybe three vehicles, and apart from building some defences and setting up a camp we will look to dominate the area from the Soviet menace through the use of light vehicle and foot patrols, so no miles trekking for us ! Bit like Jedburgh ! Kaffee and summary executions .

Be aware though the Soviet is a tricky menance .

Can you see him in this picture ?

What about now ?

The price for failure to be vigilent is is todt .

Unless we catch Ivan first .

 See? That's how much of a team player I am! Anything for CiA! It does rankle to pose like that, something I would never do at a game or for real.

I just crept up really close and dropped an ice cube down his back, before nicking his wallet.

Er no ...........you don't HAVE to do that at all .....you can cook on open fire in a pit , small burner , cook on a portable gas ring from Argos if you like . All that is asked is that completely modern stuff is stashed in your tent out of sight when not is use, not littered about......, along with your modern sleeping bag, kit mat etc. No one is being asked to rough it with two blankets in a fox hole, a lump of mouldy bread and a bunch of straw, merely that as you walk through camp it looks period ish !

I'll be using a 2005 coleman cooker myself , painted grey for a bit of disguise , and works on a similar principal to WW2 German cookers, but that is entirely my choice .

If you want half cold food off an esbit one pack of hexamin should do you fine for 24 hours. :good:

My mistake just thinking back to Jedburgh where some of us were using Esbits/Hexi burners, anyway if you are using them and require any hexi I will bring some at no cost
