Places a filling up nicely.

Only three places left for the German side.

We could do with some more Russians though.

Glad to hear it bud, somebody told me you were jacking after after our lil jaunt round Horn with Richard
I'm sure you know you are only as young as you act , giving into old age is best saved for when you're really past it !

Are you letting Che back for this one ?

Quite right Guy.

The reason I'm missing this one is that I have a gig on the Friday Night and am running a bar at a party Saturday night. Cant deprive good people of rock music and drink!

Did consider parachuting in Saturday morning and getting airlifted later but couldnÒ€™t find a willing pilot or plane.

As far as I know Mr Che has a weekend pass for this one :good:

I'll er ...get Che to run around twice as fast to make up for it . With two jeeps and a kubel on the German side it looks like this one will not be all about walking for once !

Ok I'm feeling a bit happier about this, after my initial eeeeeek when I saw the 24 HR bit. However, I do have a few probs if anyone can enlighten me.

The only transport I will have will be my parents camper - is there anywhere I can park up given that you want the camps to be period

I have very little Russian kit - a pilotka and what I think is the gymnasterka top and no axis or Russian weapon

More frighteningly I have to try and rationalise this with shewhomustbeobeyed!

I'm a hero with coward's legs.

Glad to hear that you're thinking of giving it a go, you'll be glad you did.

Everyone's cars will be parked together, away from the playing area. If you need a period looking tent, CiA have a few canvas pup tents if you need to borrow one. You don't need a full Russian loadout, you can either post up on the "kit loan" thread and see if our generous players can loan you what you need, or, mix your existing kit with some civvy items and be a partisan. Don't worry about a 100% "correct" weapon, any WW2 weapon will be good enough. I've got a fair bit of partisan type stuff, if you should require it.

As for rationalising it with her indoors, well, that's down to you!

Just out of interest how far is it from the parking to the Russian camp site?

I'm not planning on taking much, but it'd be nice to know what the arrangements for getting it all there are. There certainly could be more than I'm willing to transport in one go over any significant distance.

We'll be ferrying people and kit the few hundred metres or so to their respective bases via several vehicles (it's not that far and it's downhill). We do ask that people don't bring mountains of kit, just enough to get them through 24 hours. Leave spare gear in your cars and, if someone has a dire emergency, we will ferry them back to get spare kit as the gameplan allows.

Yeah it's going to be shelter halves, roll mats, sleeping bag, dry clothes (for sleeping in), in addition to actual fighting kit. Plus a small quantity of cooking stuff. Just a bit too much to lug on one's back in one go... well when you're as unfit as I am anyway.
