Oh yes, I would be interested, I don't qualify to buy a RIF yet. But just to let you know there is interest in that project.

However, if they are available in, say, May next year, I could see a rather expensive birthday present to self in the offing :happydance:

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Looking good.

The magazine, would the intention be to make it compatible with the current affordable sten guns (and so MP40s)?

Looks like a converted Sten to me, so, I'd say "yes".

I'd hope that the lanchester would have a much longer magazine though?

i,m trying to get ahold of lanchester mags but you can imagine its hard, + i,d rather not cut up something rather rare yith, so "hope" may not be quite nice for the original mags :)
+ they are bleeding long ;) :)

i may allso sell stocks, if i cant get stens in :)

You may be better converting airsoft sten (MP40) mags to be extra long?

Warren there is some quite nice looking box section I spotted in B&Q but not sure of the dimensions but could be Lanchester mag size.

I bought a 3M length of 20x35mm would that be the stuff as a 9mm rnd is about 30mm long so the double stack mag must be close to 20mm wide.

plans yes, time no,

i,v got a list of all the guns i want to do but the sterling is going to be much later, as you know i,m prity much only doing WW2 guns, cutting back on some and doing new models, so the sterling is a long long way of, if ever sorry,

yes i could sell lots but my hearts just not in it for the sterling,

Cheers Warren, although someone on here reports that the patchett (later renamed sterling) was used in small numbers at Arnhem,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sterling_submachine_gun

I had no idea it was used in WW2. Go figure eh?
