Ok guys

We've a St Lo game planned for June in some bocagetastic terrain.

We'll have the battle weary 82nd who've been fighting non-stop since D-day approaching St Lo and running into crack SS re-inforcements!

This is a semi historical 'what if' scenario as the 82nd did take part in the initial days of the battle and the Waffen SS were rushed in to try and stop the advance.

When you're opening the booking gadge I'll be the 1st with my name down, hoo-ah paratroopers, death from above!

And where is the Prince who can afford to so cover his country with troops for its defense, as that ten thousand men descending from the clouds, might not in many places do an infinite deal of mischief, before a force could be brought together to repel them?

I may have to throw together a 82nd look for that one, but I do have till June to do that, and knowing my luck, as soon as I'm done work will rear it's ugly head and screw me over!

"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

is this a game you were wanting to offer to the Yanks first so they can get a taste of PBI goodness?

Would be liking to make this but don't want to chop an eager Yank out of a place, or but some Yank kit and then not be able to use it except to ponce around the house.

Also this glider infantry, would they have the 82nd badge on the jacket then? As that is the kit I would be getting it would be nice to know how the PBI fellows are putting it together, so we can look a little alike, and what parts of the kit would likely be the same for a unit (helmet nets/no nets etc) and where there would be a little variety.

Well I'm putting together 82nd Glider Infantry kit. Basically standard infantry (see the ranger guide) with 82nd airborne patch on the left sleeve of the M41 jacket.

Whilst this is a PBI game, we weren't necessarily expecting PBI to play at it as a team. This is a game for the Yanks and Germans, not the Brits.

fair enough. I know there are a lot of Yank players so I can sit it out if need be.

I'm sure we can find 'character' roles for PBI players wanting to play. Maybe as OSS agents, downed pilots, or simply sort out loan kit.

We'lll do our best to keep anyone who wants to be part of it involved but the primary focus of this game is to include US airborne and leg infantry types in on a PBI game.

I dont expect we'll do many where we dont have any brits but it may happen very occasionally.

Well I was quite happy for the excuse to buy a Yank leg infantry get up.

Oh wait a sec, did you think I was asking if I could come as a Brit? Looking back my post is rather an abortion of words, sorry if so. :slap:

Can the organisers confirm the weapon FPS limits for this one please, specifically for support weapons.

Cheers!

So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Not an organiser, but I would imagine it is the same as the lightening 1s, 328-350fps for Semi-full auto guns, up to 500 for bolt action.

Grange Farm may well be chrono'ing all guns on site, as this isn't an invite-only game.

I'll bring mine along if i remember it though.

I'm in for this - FJ please (note - not "Falshy" ).

Also, in the spirit of authenticity that defines PBI games can we spell it Saint-Lô?
