Looks like Urban 6 Airsoft may not be as dead as first thought - they reckon they have Swynnerton:

Worth investigating , but just lets not get too excited? Last time they thought they had it they didn't , and they seemed a bit amateur to me .
They got back to me:
We would love to help can you give me some more details ie dates. a w/end in november would be better for us as i need to book areas so the military dont use it.a weekend event is not a prob and i may be able to get you the under ground bunker with beds showers etc if needed.
im sure you understand that with this being a operational base i need as much info as possible including your scenario and plans as they have to be checked.you can ring me anytime next week to discuss in more detail my mobile number is 07432291729.
Right, let's talk more about this then I'll put together a proposal letter and get it sent off to him.
My fear is that we book it all up and the MoD need it at the last minute.

The only MOD who use Swynnerton are the T.A, the Cadets and the occassional RCT use of the off road and watermanship areas, as far as I know.
We definitely need to push the "bio ammo" thing with this, as per my previous mention of Distant Thunder and the shit that was left laying about after that. We will need access to the hard standing car park (to the right of the main gates if you were standing looking at them). The use of one of the bunkers would be great but, they are a long way from the car park and, we would need to ferry players to them.
Our pitch should include your TLSFX training for safe use of pyro's, our experience in putting on WW2 events, first aid training and AFRA affiliation. All of these things will make us come across as more professional to the Commandant, who is the one who needs the convincing. Basically, we need to apppear organised, professional and responsible.
I'd say that we need to do a proper recce before we could put a proper plan together and, I'm well up for that, as you all know that Swynnerton is my "dream" site.
As for the event? Well, it's got to be Stalingrad really! 20 a side (with the option for 25). No need for vehicles.
As for dates in November, at the moment (subject to G4S'S shift pattern changes!) my free weekends in are 12th/13th and 26th/27th.
Edit - Just checked the calendar and, gunman is doing his Sennybridge game on the 19th/20th November as well. Given that we gave him shit for running Minsk so close to Schaulen, do we want to contradict ourselves by running our event so close to his? Personally, I'm not bothered, as, just as with Bramley, we are wholly dependent on the MOD for the use of this site. Also, I don't think it would affect the player base anyway.

OK, considering the clash with Gunman and the amount of time it's going to take to sort this out, should be bump a Stalingrad event to February and make it our first event of 2012?
We could do CiA lite for December...and we'd have more daylight to play with in Feb.

sod josh stick with november otherwise we will struggle for bookings over xmas when everyone is skint. Also suggest that the chance of the mod bumpin us is more likely after xmas? Re vehicles yes do want them please having invested 2k in one myself and i'd aim for 30 a side. If we are going to do one of the most iconic battles of ww2 them it needs to be done on a big scale.
