I intend along with agent orange and Slayd to be setting up the Soldatenheim on Saturday evening, U boat dress a must! (Well for some of us we find it helps the ale down) So bring your evening drinking outfits and trink Trink Trink!
I was planning to camp. I was even considering whether there might be a Sunday Walkon game in the area. Combat South Maybe?
Yes there is a game at Combat South on the 4th may.
I know this as I am a registered player there.
Pete.
There is also a walk on at EAG Worthing, I know this, I'll be running it

Well, I'm travelling with Kroot, hope to camp (a more relaxed start to day's activities would be welcome).
To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"
Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.
Resistance is fertile
I'll be staying on Saturday night. Drinking gear? I'm down for the allied side at the moment, so I think my only additional drinking apparall will be a red beret. Simply wouldn't be good form to dress as a hun for the evening soiree!!

a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
Was just looking at pubs in the area between the station and site (will have a lot of gear to lug and may need to stop for refreshment). Arundel Brewery is just around the corner http://www.arundelbrewery.co.uk/
With their Motto being 'Armed with Taste' I wonder if some sort of deal can be made in return for a few publicity photos

Now that is a cracking idea
I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.
Question is, do we ask for a discount or do we ask for a donation to help for heroes?
Personally I'd rather see a donation for Help for Heroes but it depends on everyone... and how much they like their beer

Have pm'd Zero Bravo about this as he will know best times for any photography being the organiser.
I have emailed the Brewery asking for a price list and opening times. I presume we will miss the opening times on Saturday due to the game but those of us arriving Friday afternoon may be able to pick up orders. I have also suggested that they may be interested in donating some money in return for some of us being photographed with their beer. If they are interested they may be able to deliver a beer order? Due to the venue being a rifle range it's not going to be possible for them to sell beer at the site.
Will there be camping available on the Friday night? A few of us are planning on coming up from Cornwall but are having trouble finding affordable digs. It's not really feasible for us to come over on the morning (would have to leave about 3.30am!) but if we can camp overnight then that would provide an alternative!
Yes camping is possible on the Friday. You'll be pitched on the grass alongside the runway. It's a bit of a squeeze but should be ok. I would recommend a camp bed. There is also a building that can be made available if the weather isn't being kind. That will have power as well. There's loos on site with running water. Coop is five min drive up the road for anything you've forgotten.
Oh forgot to say but was told, no dogs! The range managers dog is a bit territorial.
