Ah, that's great, thanks for the quick reply. :)

We've got some airbeds and stuff, so hopefully we won't be too uncomfortable. We'd not have room for all the camping kit in my car, but I'm looking into hiring something bigger as it will still be a fair bit cheaper than trying to find rooms in a Travelodge etc.

Any chance we could kip in the building even if the weather is fair? I may be able to fit us all in my car if I don't bring a tent, rather than hiring something big enough for the lot!

Ah I see - sorry, I didn't mean to bombard you about stuff you're not organising! Will give them a call though, fingers crossed. :)

All sorted, there will be a building for us to bivvy in for Friday and Saturday nights, so we're on! :)

Looking forward to seeing you all next weekend.

Planning to leave Cornwall around 2pm or so (earlier if we can), so I'd have thought around 7.30-8.00pm if the traffic isn't too bad.

The building's available? Looks like I'm camping then, and we all know what that means! Trink! :D

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

For those of you who didn't watch country file this evening, bring a spare blanket, or three. It looks set to be chilly by the weekend.

I have emailed the Brewery asking for a price list and opening times. I presume we will miss the opening times on Saturday due to the game but those of us arriving Friday afternoon may be able to pick up orders. I have also suggested that they may be interested in donating some money in return for some of us being photographed with their beer. If they are interested they may be able to deliver a beer order? Due to the venue being a rifle range it's not going to be possible for them to sell beer at the site.

Hi mate do you kno how far the brewery is from the site & wot sort of time will guys be ariving thanks

Well the brewery didn't repond to email but they are a few hundred meters away in an industrial estate. I plan to arrive Friday afternoon sometime. Probably dump my stuff and go for provisions (food and beer). According to their web site they are open Mon-Fri 9-5:30 and Saturday mornings by appointment. I shall try again to get a price list at least so we can try and arrange something.

Yay got a reply:

Hi Russell

Thanks for your email, Prices for Packs of 12 x 500ml bottles are:-

Sussex Gold Abv 4.2% @ £16.66
Sussex IPA ABV 4.5% @ £17.00
Sussex Dark Abv 5.5% @ £17.33

We have just rebranded and the names of two of the beers are different. Beer is exactly the same. Will do bottles on sale or return as last time.

Cask Ale - Any Beer:-

10 Litre Polypin (17 pints approx) @ £35.00
20 Litre Polypin (34 pints approx) @ £60.00
Firkin (70 pints approx) @ £100.00

If you need any further information let me know. Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
Pete

Not sure what he means by last time, it must have been one hell of a night cos I don't even recall ever being in the area before :D
My leet maths skills tell me that it works out at under £1.50 a bottle. All we need is someone with a car who is able to arrive early, a few of us to chip in to buy the beer and if we work on the principle of a £2 donation per bottle....

He probably thinks he is dealing with the range not you. The range has had occasions before when we haven't sold beer to anyone.

Yup, kinda gathered that. The question remains, do we want to get a load of beer in? How much beer can the Germans drink? Is anyone arriving early enough with a vehicle to pick it up and is anyone willing to chip in to buy it?
Otherwise we can all make our own arrangements.

Personally I'm on the wagon so it's academic to me. There's a coop just up the road so there's plenty of opportunity to buy booze.
