Ah well if they're in the rules then wear helmet covers. Should have read them. :slap:

Oh one suggestion re: medic rules. For the Marines instead of shouting medic a load cry of 'Corpsman' would also work. For the Japanese, 'Eiseihei'.

Not that it really matters but seems appropriate!

I like the idea of shouting Corpsman too :good:

When I read the Japanese for medic I heard it totally differently in my head to how its apparently supposed to sound:

https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid ... n+japanese

Made me giggle a bit lol

Eiseihei!

Hopefully I'll remember to say it instead of medic.

Ralph

Hehe, this reminds me of a Vietnam event a few years ago. The Vietnamese for medic is bacsi but some of the lads forgot and just ended up shout for a taxi! Was funny as hell at the time (probably looses something in the telling lol)...anyway back to WWII...here is my USMC gear so far...-- attachment is not available --

Blouse is an unknown repro and the dungarees are SOF repro. The webbing belt, pistol mag pouch, carlisle pouch and packboard are all original. The SMG mag pouch & pistol holster are again SOF repros. Rubber Kabar and post war wire cutters & pouch finish it off for the mo. Canteen & cover to be added shortly. Cheers, Tom

Really does look good. One of the things I'm most looking forward to in this game is seeing all the new kit.

Ralph

Don't apologise mate! I thought your impression was really good actually. I just love it when we all line up at the start of the day and we look like a proper platoon. And it's like Chris says, I'd rather play with someone who has a make do kit and the right attitude than someone with all the kit but acts like a cock.

Regards,

Ralph

Yeah was going to say the same thing. As long as some effort's made (don't turn up in DPM!) who cares? :D

I have to say I'm always impressed by people's look alike kit, if well researched (as it is on here) it often needs a second look to really distinguish it from pukka kit.

So my new (well second hand) Thompson arrived today. It was pretty much the last item I was waiting for to complete my USMC / USN look. I still need to get a canteen cover or two and decide if I want another M1 helmet or just use one of my Vietnam lids with the USMC cover.

Apologies for the crappy pics!

Cheers all,
Tom
