i think he just popped it out to have a chat with me
you lucky boy
there's something seriously wrong with you lot
Well, Steiner's just offered to "fix" Rhys's "plumbing"...... I say.....
Lardy - That Yank you shot who gave you the thumbs up was me, (Anne) great shot by the way. Didn't realise I looked scary to you though, more like me being scared of you! You were making me nervous, thought you were gonna pull out a grenade or something! I was glad when you eventually walked out the gate and you passed my chums with guns.
Excellent day as ever, thanks to everyone involved.
It was nice to be only up the road for us for a change, but it's a shame we missed out on the Saturday night do, it looked fun.
I particularly thought Gadge and Yith looked SUPERB.
No doubt Barrie will post something later.
Anne
but being as you wouldnt stop and someone did a runner figured it was shootin time
Yes, alarm was sounded after two explosions were heard - one in the woods and one towards the southern roadway, and this coupled with some very odd reports of sightings of Germans (up to that point taken to be the result of mistaken identification by new, excitable recruits). One of the Polish on exercise was brought into the camp for medical attention bizarrely claiming the injury was a result on a landmine and yet there were no minefields inland within 50 miles to my certain knowledge. He was treated and then removed from the site with all speed - despite a personal request from Mr Churchill to speak to the Polish troops to pass on his respects. I judged this to be an unnecessary risk - and incurred a severe ear bending from the PM as a result!
My troops which up until the alarm were unarmed were put on high alert - yet with instructions not to fire unless fired upon and to challenge all civilians and other forces. If they weren't happy with the answer then the correct course of action was to use reasonable force.
One of our number knew some Polish and offered the injured troop a drink. Having some suspicion about this troop, he offered the injured party a drink of beer with milk and sugar which the Pole gratefully accepted. This raised our suspicions further and they were removed from the camp.
When I finally witnessed a German throwing a hand granade in the direction of our OP there was no longer any doubt that we were under a full scale attack.
Fortunately it seems the Germans had been drinking in Antwerp the night before their drop and were a little worse for wear in the morning of their incursion. Reports of an Irish spy being thrown through a window are as yet uncomfirmed though.
Great shoot, great people as ever. I got to know some more of you, and there were some new guys there with fantastic kit. Who was the guy with the Kreta armband?
That would be me
Just want to say, nice to meet everybody and put names to faces, I was made to feel welcome and everybody was chatty and willing to help with kit questions. A great atmosphere!
I think the highlight for me was helping capture Winni...."even though i had to run" due to the fact that Gadge/ Yith/ the Major, wanted to do a lap of honour around the hill in the jeep the close combat in the buildings was excellent, "certainly got the heart pumping" everyone took their hits and the standard of play was outstanding.
Everybody's kit looked great, "Gadge/ Yith looked the dogs" it's nice to be in a game were you don't haft to wear a red armband.
Thanks to the CIA crew and Josh, I think a mention in dispatches for the ss Aufklarung they held the line and kept everyone on the move, nice one lads,
It was my first CIA game and i hope the first of many more to come.

yea it was all the hicaps fault hehe the wind did make it amazingly challanging to shoot though. meant alot of test shots to check how far off to aim. had myself in stitches at one point as I'd shot at one chap and it curved as it made its way to him and hit a chap to his right, just infront of him, behind a bush. who was very suprised to say the least.

Well, I use nothing but 50 round mags for my Thompson. I was also fighting around that hill quite a bit. I think you need to look a little further than blaming Thompson Hi-cap Mags for every defeat
DEFEAT!!!!
tell that to lard arse (churchill)as he was taken to the sub
LOL.
There is no doubt that in windy conditions being able to drift shots into a target in the knowledge that the mag won't be empty by the time one hits home was an advantage, conversely 600rnds doesn't last that long when used in that way. But all the more reason to be tactically skillful, make shots count and work together. Hell, there was some awesome use of single shot during the day!
I only used 500rnds in the whole day and most of that was in suppressing fire but even so, as my high caps fall to pieces I'll be replacing them with lower capacities.
Incidentally, there was some incredible grenade throwing during the day - distances so great I was expecting an airburst they were in the air so long!
A few piccies I shot, sorry no 'action' shots I was too busy enjoying myself

We Germans also didn't have access to the seemingly limitless supply of grenades enjoyed by the spoiled sons of capitalism...
Seriously though, respec' to the yanks' squad organisation and fighting spirit, particularly in the early afternoon scraps when you were all over us like a rash.
Piccies please anyone???
Nice pics Scott - thanks!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
great pics scott
theres nowt so Permanent as temporary
seemingly limitless supply of grenades
Axis were issued with the same number of grenades as the US - the US would have had more except they used them all in grenade practice in the morning!
grenades were issued
theres nowt so Permanent as temporary
Did you check the drop cylinders?
