The planning is well underway for this event and I am now trying to bring together the remaining plans for the days activities.
If you have not already booked on and are thinking of coming (Not just a whim but are waiting for pay day etc ) can you please let me know including What troop type you are thinking of on What side.
Due to the total lack of American interest I am scaling down their participation in the days events unless we get a mass of bookings to field a sizable section. (Don`t worry if you want to come as US and even if it is one or two I have a established scenario to incorporate you being there) It really just means more fun for the Brits
As you may have seen from recent posts on the forum early commitment is vital in putting on an event in order to pay for the site, plan etc and get away from the `Chicken and Egg scenario`
If there is a problem in paying for the event PM me and we work out a small deposit. oooohhhhh eerrrrr (Not sure that sound right but you know what I mean)
Many thanks
waiting on payday mate, will be fielddivision and with a small group of 3-4
Thanks really helps with the planning
Will there be special rules for umbrellas?
Regards,
Ralph
no problem mate, can bring an mg if needed/allowed
I can make this myself with the MG42 but am wondering how to include my son. He has only a Ppsh, the Thompson is already provisionally sold to a mate (provisional on the basis nobody else goes for it before he's able to pay for it at the end of this month). Would there be any chance of him borrowing an Axis weapon on the day? If not, he has a 1911 .45 side-arm, so as Hanschen has mentioned, he could help me crew the MG (extra ammo? Lol).
I could lend you a thompson ,not axis but a very good gun .
armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
Thanks Dadio. That's actually the only gun he won't borrow though. He was so afraid of breaking mine, it's why I bought him the Ppsh (the Thompson's weak barrel issue was the issue. Lol).

Side arm no problem I am sure there is plenty for him to do with the MG42 and yourself mowing down Brits
I will make a lending borrowing thread post there for a gun to see what people will lend
Thanks Dadio.

Hi signs
I am attending the game now so if your son still needs a weapon I will have some spare with me but the downside is they are all Allied weapons but all good sturdy builds that can handle being thrown about ( if his worred about braking one then a good weapon would be my m1 grand he won't brake that you can play baseball using it as the bat & you would struggle to brake it.
Well there's my offer
Peter.
Thanks Jerry, that sounds perfect mate.
Thanks Jerry, that sounds perfect mate.
Your son can have a look at what I have in my car as I always bring plenty of spares including mags & batteries so he will have plenty of choice.
Well I am always willing to lend out & as you can see on the lending post I am for the first time asking myself so it swings both ways oops that sounds wrong.
Most regular players know who I am so you can ask anyone to point me out before the game.
See you on the 7th
Peter
Sadly, this game is on the same day as our regular monthly Skirmish game at Fireball. As most of the 34th are involved in running the site, it means we are unable to attend. Sorry to miss out on what looks to be a cracking game.
Just glad you and your boy can make it Siggi ,my Thompson's been loaned out loads of times and already had the barrel break and be fixed but JeryAtrick is a sound bloke and will not only lend you a gun but often a nice slice of water mellon after the game as well

Probably a good idea in future for your dates to be published on the organisers forum or other organisers will never be able to cater for you Yanks. WW2 games are few and far between to compete with monthly skirmish games sadley
It does slash the blue on blue incident rate down to well under 10% though.

well its the downside to a very large amount of us running what i suspect is the uks oldest airsoft club at 18 years and still going, its the first sat of every month , though sometimes we can miss it , May this year is just of the question this year
and Gareth you are probally right but if we dont kill friendlies our kill rate is just very poor
The 34th is only a small percentage of the WW2 players that play as US, though we can muster up a good dozen every now and then. It would be wrong to cater to us in any way. Apart from running our monthly games we also have to squeeze in work days, private modern games, and our own WW2 games. Then there is real life and wives. Sadly, we just cant commit to attend many additional games, though we do try as best we can.
Won't be the same, not getting mortared by your own side.
