............but can be poked up the arse with a pitchfork for good measure regardless :happydance:

maybe not !

Kidding aside , to both sides he's a high value prisoner . The common soldier on either side would have a lot of explaining to do as to why he had been harmed.

If this is actually the case, then you may need to modify the scenario briefing which says this:

Goering promises to have Hess returned to Germany or shot within 48 hours.

I was rather looking forward to ending the game with a ceremonial firing squad! An opportunity for Hess to do his 'Robert Vaughn at Remagen Bridge' impression.

Cheers

Goering was full of shite !

I'm loving the way this scenario has got everyone's imagination going . I'm half tempted to plant Hess under a flag in the middle of a field and say first one to capture him wins just to shock

It's airsoft Jim, but not as we play it!

Keep it up but don't guess all the plot before April !

Hello chaps, this'll be my first CIA game and i'm really, really looking forward to it! Just one question regarding casualties, as the German forces have no resupply, i imagine that there will be no re-gen if they lose a man...how will this work in the scenario?? If you're dead by 14:00, is that then game over!? Thanks!

Perhaps they'll make us dig latrines for an hour before we are allowed back in :)

Given my usual propensity for getting shot I'd best bring my entrenching tool....

Good question Mattywheels.

Your theory is correct - German forces have no reinforcements so should they be shot it's game over. But as you point out it would be a bit rubbish if you were kicked out of the game inside 2 hours!
This is where 'mil-sim' starts to show its 'game' characteristics. You will, of course, be allowed to rejoin the game and get your money's worth!

However, the concept of the game is that the Germans have a tough assignment. Not only are they dropping into a foreign country but they are also pretty much unbriefed as to the terrain or what to expect in resistance when they land - added to which is the limited ammunition supply and lack of any sort of emergency evac or back up. Very much a commando assignment. So the German side is going to be very cautious, will plan well once on the ground and will strike hard and fast. A bimbling, undisciplined German will be a dead German.

In summary, there will be opportunity for for Germans to 'regen' but I'm going to guess this might be perhaps once or twice in the eight hours, given the nature of the game, as it isn't a substitute for recklessness or blatting mentality.

EDIT: German forces have been told there is a 'Commando order' in place in Britain and would be certain they will be executed if they were caught - another incentive to keep out of harm's way! (Of course Britain would never have put such an order in place, being British and all that, but that's what they have been told. )
