Before I go off and chat to a few people, who here would be up for a full-on WW2 weekend event next summer?

I'd be up for it if it wasnt in the high heat of summer. Skirmishing in anything over 24C isnt much fun especially in WWII gear.

No longer involved in airsoft.

You can get summer issue uniforms - certainly for the germans. They are made out of cotton Herring Bone Twill and are very thin and light. My trousers on sunday were late war repro summer issue (I was a bit chilly!). If you are playing German then you can get them from Spearhead Militaria on ebay or I think Soldier of Fortune might do HBT suits as well.

Try Barry Lyndon at Spearhead Militaria for HBTs, there about £30 ish for the trousers

I skirmished in july at 31 deg c , in my original m41 wool lined jacket + helmet...

it wasnt that bad , helmet kept sun off head, and jacket stopped sunburn.

ive sweated more in modern gear .....

as long as you dont sprint too much it should be fine
