I suspect he'll be disapointed when he turns up expecting ot train squaddies and gets airsofters instead. As we all know 99% of airsofters are too good for airsoft or the regulars .

.......makes me giggle though , I get all my training for free , out of my regular team of 12 or so , three are ex and three are serving , so we get "updates" when they're on holiday back from the sandpit . Then we troop off to Ied and "practice" against the ex Paras and Marines , which shows quite quickly that you can't learn a lifetimes worth of soldiering in a couple of afternoons airsofting .

if any one wants to learn to snipe for illegal pourposes (terrorism, crime or any other lunatic reason) they wouldnt bother on an airsoft course

we all know airsofts not accurate over 100m MAXIMUM, and unless your teaching people with REAL weapons/ammo, then all your course is, is a theory lesson using airsoft to make a point.

theres no reason for any background check at all, any theory can be gained from a number of sources includeing restricted army manuals that are in the public domain.

the ONLY reason to background check ,would be if the attendees, were using REAL weapons and ammo.

you may be who you say your are, but my PERSONAL OPINION is just that background checks are unessercary, I AM NOT CRITICIZEING THE CONTENT OF YOUR "TRAINING" , just the pompous way you think you have "authority" to run a background check

I also find it amusing that another "big" site runs "selection" weekends. It's even funnier that people PAY to go on them! I suppose it's so they can feel "L33T" at the end of it in all their multicam and christmas tree M4's.

I quite like jon mac (given the limited three conversations i'v ehad wiht him) but i do recall playing a game at lfu ages ago while he was doing CQB instruction for new players.

Anyway, i'd fired my last bb on my last bit of battery juice in my aksu and i had two choices..

1) trudge back ot the safe zone to swap bats and bomb up

or

2) pull the LRP foam (but very lifelike) hatchet out of my web belt and swing it round my head whil making a red indian warcry as i attacked the enemy house with a only close combat weapons and a BFG

anyway of i run ad miraculously make it to the house, lobb in the bfg, plough inan dwallop some guy wiht the axxe before his five mates pagger me...

call myself dead and walk off, past jon mac and he says

'what the fuck did you do that for, you had no chance of gettingout of that.'

i reply

'cos its a *game* jon,its a game';

and to his credit he said

'fair point' and started laughing with me.

I wouldn't bother frankly, you'll only end up getting banned . He'll get some takers from the wannabe brigade, most of whom will probably not have the discipline to get much for their £120 .

Yep, I agree. I just thought I'd point it out for comedy value and because:

a) I quit smoking recently, so need to occupy myself.
b) I finished my K98 conversion (see reason "a").
c) I've been drinking!
