as ive said in previous posts,

TO MAKE ANYTHING EXPLOSIVE WITHOUT A LIESENCE IS ILLEAGAL

you can only use pre made pyro, from a licenced manufacturer.

and not modyfy it in any way

DO NOT MAKE YOUR OWN, (unless your not arsed about being locked up if you get caught)

im not preaching, or being a killjoy, i post this purely to cover my own arse.

i have to make sure, that in todays "war on terror" society, where a fart in the wrong place gets you life,

that any thing i have to say about pyro is WITHIN the law, to even discuss making your own is dodgy nowadays.

SO SAY NOWT, AND MAKE NOWT, my offical take on it

Stubblehopper wore dot44 on the last training day and it looked great amongst all of the Oak A that was on show. We're not re-enactors, so just wear what you like personally. It's more important to get the numbers than it is to stitch count peoples' loadouts.

As for the location, I could get the same venue as the last time if people are happy with that.

Hi guys

Bit late catching up with this thread. DEFINITELY want to come along to TD2 - sounds like a movie sequel. The previous location was a good one, but I'm with Olds. here, anywhere without any god' awful waxy paint to step in, fall on, etc. would be preferable - how about trying Fireball - same central location and no paint - :D

If the plan is to have TD2 at the end of July/August, just to let you know I'm in Corfu first week in August.

By then, I should also have some dot camo gear so I can come along as SS rather than GD - already looking forward to the prospect immensely - especially if we can get some Allies along and incorporate some more shooty stuff into the day - :D

I seriously doubt if we could get the fireball site for training. It's owned by National Paintball Fields, whom I believe Fireball rent their area from.

If people aren't happy with Hilton Park, then I'm at a loss for a site. I just thought its' central location was ideal.

I think that a central location is essential for the TDs, Hilton Park is fine for the moment, plus we've only just scatched the surface at that site. However, when we eventually do a FIBUA?DIBUA training day, which I hope we can manage at some point this year, we'll have to look at somewhere else. Oldsweat has already let it out of the bag that there might be a "Stalingrad" game in the winter, held at Claycross, so we might even approach that site for access for a TD. Need to get myself a greatcoat or a reversable parka for that though!

Would love to do a FIBUA training day, it's a speciality of mine!

As Kermit said, the very fact that everyone was in a variety of gear actually added to the authentic look. Check out some WW2 photos - most units were a hotch-potch of uniform and kit (and weapons!) by 1944.

Oldsweat has already let it out of the bag that there might be a "Stalingrad" game in the winter, held at Claycross, so we might even approach that site for access for a TD.

Actually Chris, I think that idea was retracted for the moment, due to only about 2 people having Russkie gear. :?:

Guys, you should get the Allies involved in something like this too. An impromptu training day for both sides with a bit of interaction.

As the next CiA game is October perhaps the end of August for something like that would be a natural time for people to get it together.

Just a thought, feel free to ignore if you like.

With regards a site phoenix does have both urban and woodland and are centralish, i have good contact with the owners so could approach them if required, i know the norm for your own private day is a min of 20 for the woodland 30 for urban.

Hi All

Count me in for another training day - both as an active member and as camera monkey to record the event for posteriors - I mean, posterity !

I did a training day a little while ago over near Ferrybridge (M62 J 33) but maybe that's a little too far North.

It's a small woodland site but we'd be the only ones there and there's enough room for some good patrolling and skirmishing if we so choose.

Not sure what the deal would be with pyros, but I can check.

Check out the website here for some more details :

http://www.airsoftcommando.moonfruit.com

Let me know a date and I'll give Andy, the guy who runs the site, a bell.

See you all at Churchills.

Gregg
