Hohenstaufen training Day No1

Depends when, but provisionally I would Be Up for it.

I think we need to discuss this and maybe flesh it out a little further at the Arnhem event and probably find a more central location, and book somewhere perhaps a month before CR. Its a shame that there isn't much interest here as the site I have in mind lends itself well to this kind of thing, with dry accomodation, hot food and drinks available. Perhaps we should leave it for the time being and think about again it after the Arnhem event.

Depends when and where for me too. Am definitely up for it though.

Gotta be central England really, given where we all live. I.e. bloody everywhere!

I'm up for some of this also, will be buying some of my Hohenstaufen uniform this month.

I think all I'll need to do is make sure I'm not on-call when we get things organised.

Hi Guys

I'd be interested in doing some training with you, but am only a simple Heer (if you can forgive that).

I did do some training at a small woodland site near Ferrybridge (Yorkshire) recently.

If you are interested I can route out the conact details, or is this too far North.

The other alternative is Phoenix I guess - we all know where it is and what the site has to offer.

Keep me posted on what's happening and I'll hopefully see you soon.

Where abouts at ferrybridge lone ? Were not far from there (Che and myself) maybes handy to know as we don't think the local wood would be too pleased if we went running about for fun in it suited and booted

Che (think he registered as that, and erm its his name) wants to do some training before he inflicts his unfit self on you lot again, so I'm sure distance permitting he would join. if you're really unlucky and my kit turns up, I could be swayed to tag along

This kind of day is as much about getting to know each other as it is about "training". It's great to put a face to a name and will really help when we get to future events.

With reference to the training day, I've PM ed most folk who may be intereseted, I think we've got about 15 or so who may want to come so far. What we have envisaged is for us to have a range session first, using every type of weapon we can get our hands on from MG's down to pistols and grenades. Rottenfuhrer Heide, who is an ex British army sniper, will be teaching camoflage and consealment, and sniper skills to those who are interested in that particular department, we want to test fire the rifles to find out what gas and weight of BB gives the best range, we've got four potential snipers so far, and will split them into two teams for the next event.

Those front line grunts in the grenadiers will be taught section attacks, by myself an ex infantry instructor and Rottenfuhrer Doktor who's an ex Marine, we'll also be doing bunker assaults, patrolling skillls and ambush drills, Plus Doktor has a few other things he's interested in doing. We have the exclusive use of a woodland airsoft site in Durham and are looking at the 2-3 June as a possible date for this. I am sorry its so far North but it'll have to do until we can get an agreement with a more centrally located site, there is overnight camping on site and we hope to have a few beers Sat night before we start, if that's what people want. Also we want to take this opportunity to get some really good posed shots during a photo shoot planned for the afternoon.

Although this is primarily for the ss, we have invited some Heer and anyone is welcome to come along, as the skills mentioned above will be vital for the next CIA event which is a 700 acre site, full of woods and is ideal for partolling and ambush type engagements, so if you are interested in coming along, either post here or PM me

24 hours training under full military conditions carried out by two ex staff sergeants (plus a few mates from Hereford knowing them )
it will not be an avereage airsofting experience, and would no doubt be useful to the Kamfgruppe.

Is the site and date conformed for this yet? I have to kid the missus I'm going on a course for work to go and I need to start on her now really, otherwise she won't believe me!

Also, I need to know if I should be preparing any lesson plans, etc.

EDIT- I may be able to secure a more central site for training day purposes.

Sorry for the delay in posting Heide, been away for a few days, yes the Durham site and date is confirmed, I'll PM everyone shortly. However, I'd prefer the Midlands site, as its much more central, if you can get it sorted in time, let me know asap as time is fast running out, also let me know if your brother needs any kit and I'll bring it that along too.

Just had a PM from Sgt Heide he has secured a new site for the Hohenstaufen training day, its more central and located in the midlands, last count we had fourteen waffen ss troopers or so who were interested in coming along, looking forward to this already. I'm off to Dublin for the weekend, so we'll sort ourselves out a bit more next week with further details, maps, tel numbers, timings, programmes ect

The new location is Hilton Park on June 3rd (can't get it for the 2nd unfortunately) It's actually a paintball site as well but I ran airsoft games there for 3 years as well, some of you may even have been before. It's right behind the northbound Hilton Park services for those of you that frequent the M6!

Dead easy to get to as well. Will post directions over the next couple of days.

Nice one. I plan to call the site owners on wednesday with the number of people we can expect to be there. Looking good so far.

what have you for targets on site??

i have a aluminium figure 11 falling plate, that makes a lovley "tink" sound when hit by a bb

it may be usefull for a maximum range target, people will be able to hear there hits on target.

shall i bring it.

as were going to do some range shooting ill be bringing my C02 Uzi along, i know its not ww2, but it does have realistic recoil (not like the tm shite uzi or crappy mac gas guns) it has a genuine bolt and spring (not real steel) AND THE GUN HAS TO RECOIL TO OPERATE (just like real steel)

for anyone whos not shot a smg with realistic recoil, feel free to ask, and you can blaze some full auto, and see how inacurate it is.
