Questions of 'what does all this secrecy mean?' have resulted in the following statement of intent, which is stated now. With intent.

Amongst other things we will be focusing on how a US infantry squad operated in the field. How they were trained and utilised to attack, defend, scout and manoeuvre, and how this training should be re-enacted in the events we attend.

This will be looked at from the perspective of both the individual soldier - what he should do and how he should act within a unit, and the junior NCOs – how the elements of this unit should be directed and controlled.

It will be about teamwork. It will be about working effectively together in the most accurate way possible. It will not focus on the individual outside of this. How an individual camouflages themselves, or moves stealthily is not our focus. How a squad should do this is.

As Craig said, thanks for coming along and well done to all.
It will be nice to see some pics from the day from those who where able to take them.

I did find a pair of safety glasses at the end of the day which look to have prescription lenses. So whoever has lost a them, don't worry I have them.

Those ESS glasses will be mine - grrr, I NEVER leave kit behind. :slap:

I'll post up the group shot when I get to work tomorrow, the others will have to wait as they were on film.
