depends at what point in the war you want to depicted marsha. There are some variations depending on early, mid, or late war.

Have a look on SOF in the hats section...i did try and upload there images but they didnt work

when i asked about this, headshot came up with a cracking idea, go for the late war badge, it can be worn with m42 and m43 combats.

Make sure you get the OD overseas cap with blue piping:

Talking of piping; I was wondering what piping colour to get.

The theme of my M42 uniform is that of an 'official war correspondant'. The 'story' goes that I`m embedded with the 82nd (PIR). [This way it doesn`t look too wrong when I`m covering shows and carrying a big camera]

I thought 'normal' blue piping for infantry, but also wondered if it should be the piping for 'signals'?

Any thoughts (with references?)

.......maybe my uniform shouldn`t have the 'correspondant' patch at all........in which case I`ll just get 'infantry', and claim artisic licence. :good:

Embedded correspondent huh? That's an odd one to go for in airsoft. The pen might be mightier than the sword, but a K98 has a slightly longer range methinks. ;)

Flibble will be able to answer your question. He does Signal Corps as part of his photography.

I have a 16mm clockwork film camera you could borrow - it's post war but would look the nuts.

Simply buy a few thousand feet of film, load it (in darkness, 100ft at a time) shoot it, take it to a processing lab, have it developed and printed, get a cutting table, edit it, take it to a negative cutter, print it again, buy a projector and invite us all round to your front room to see the finished result.

Makes me wonder why video ever overtook home movies...

.......thanks for the offer, but I`ll stick with digital.

The embeded journalist bit really stems from my magazine work, for example here`s me at Beltring, with one of the Band of Brothers veterans

I don`t think they minded. There were a few of us '82nd'................

I find that most Veterans are just happy that what they did is remembered, and these gents were no different. They told me they were en-route to Normandy, Holland and Germany.

Epic Militaria have some in at £16 + p&p (although they have the mid war badge on them). Has anyone bought from here and can advise on the quality?
