Yeah i'll bath it in PVA Glue...Then spray the tube with a silcone based paint, probably Krylon.

Im having the bottom and top cap, grown on an FDM Machine (Fused Deposition Modeling), so it'll be pretty indestructable.

As far as I know, it's for keeping the cleaning tools and scope parts for the springfield sniper rifle.

I've found a similar piece of equipment used, but its a slightly different lid design. It was used all the way up to Vietnam.

But no its not a standard issue piece
