Mag Bag, Medical Pouch, Waterbottle, Susspenders for basic loadout basic + Ammo Bag, Doughboy Pack, Compass Pouch, Pistol Mag Pouch.
The doughboy pack has suspenders on it already so no you dont need them.
A Basic GI Thompson loadout ( -the waterbottle) but i reccoment having either an ammo bag or a doughboy pack aswell to put BB's + other supplies in (the pistol pouch isnt needed)

and to tie it into WW2 I did notice that one chap was armed with a mp40 in one of the episodes.

also, I was whatching a stargate the other day and low and behold i notice that the goodies were armed with M1 garand's and the badies had PPS-42's. which made me chuckle.

Basic Rifleman webbing you can't go far wrong from what Dev showed, recommendation would be to get the M1936 mustards instead of the HBTs if you're going for GI.
