I've been checking retailers for quite a while, but I am still going to need some help from experienced people like you. I live in country "far far away" and I can't try anything on to see if it fits or is it any good.

I was thinking about buying m43 pants and jacket at SoF. Are there any better options?

PS. there is no militaria fair here :(

What size jacket are you as i have a couple of originals that would work out cheaper than new repros :good:

I'm a bit confused with your size markings. Does this for eg. 38" means 38 inches around the chest?

Yes. 38" is the chest size in inches.

you can pick up original m43 jackets out in the usa for about $20.

m43's were designed to go layers of clothing, so if you want a skin tight fit, order a few sizes down.

I have just read in "Latest Aquisition" topic about sof uniforms, are they so bad? I need something that won't have hole in it after a nice dose of beans n' chilli.
Is there any other shop I should consider? (m43 uniform)

I know 2 lads got uniforms from SOF. On the first, the colour drained out after about 2 months, on the second, the trousers fell apart on the first day of use. Both bought US gear.

At the Front and What Price Glory both sell Repro M43 suits.
I have one from ATF and its great.

aka Stigroadie

AFRA
better by design

ATF is out of stock on jackets, so I guess WPG will be my choice. There is available Jacket size 38, i am 40, that should be ok?

And about trousers, I have to measure my waist? And I have to order the same size, not a few sizes down?

Edit: just realised that WPG has new site, and has only size 50 jackets...Great :(

Unless you are on the Porky side original M43 jackets can be bought cheaper than repros but the trs are harder to come by. Also a shame that the Norgi M43 jkts and trs seem to have dried up as they are superb.

I am opened for any shop that accepts pay pal. I dunno, I kinda want real m43 jacket, I lost too much nerves and time to buy a norgie and not the original.

Well, It wouldn't kill me if I loose a few pounds, but I am still not "Porky" :) (I hope)

Anyway, I think I'll buy trousers from ATF size 38, I just need to find size 38 Jacket.

I have a strange feeling that Ill sooner find Narnia than jacket :(

EDIT: I have just measeured myself again and now it looks like I am size 38 in chest :slap:
I dunno whether I am shrinking or what, but this means I will need size 36 Jacket (right?)

Haha, well, reenacting is good for losing weight, all the money goes on equipment and you have nothing left for food :D

What things should I next aim for? Mag bag (definetley), belt, suspenders and water bottle?

PS. Is there any Murphy's law that says "If you go to the bank to pay for the uniform which you want more than oxygen in next 5 minutes, it will probably be closed. If by any chance it is opened, everything that can go wrong will go wrong."?
