To my eyes they don't look bad at all. But I'm not an expert on US wool trousers. It's going to be hard to tell for sure without actually seeing them in person. Photos never give the full story.

Spearhead stuff isn't usually too bad. With the Brit stuff at least it's OK-ish, but by no means perfect. It really depends what level of accuracy you require. The cloth often tends to be too thin as well as other details being a bit duff.

With the price of these you're going to be damn lucky if they're perfect repros!

I would say the spearhead ones looked ok Matt. The important thing to consider is to getting some that fit you, and are comfortable to wear.

Remember I'm gauging them against my WWII Impressions ones which are some of the best repros you can get and hard to come by.

Exactly, mine are a.n.other repro ones, I think they look a little too light compared to how you see them in pics. (see my avatar)

Received my wool trousers today from Spearhead. Must say they are excellent quality. Although the they are the correct waist size. they are quiet baggy in the knees. But i will test them out with the gaiters tomorrow, during Gunman's Vengence game.

I would think that unless you have a massive waist originals could be bought from the States for similar if not less money than the repros.

Also was under the impression that WW2 woolen trousers had 1 flapped and 1 unflapped rear pockets-it was the 1945 patt in darker OD that had 2 flapped rear pockets :? :? :? :? ??

Mine have 1 slit and one flap pocket on the back, but I would go by the testimonial of the guy who has the originals for reference!

I'm sorry to kick-up this old threat but it made more sense then opening a brand new one.

I'm working on a regular infantry load-out and I was wondering where I can find a Mustard Trouser?

I already have a HBT but I find the Mustard better for a normal infantry load-out instead of Ranger.

Anyone can help me out? I saw the one's over at Spearhead and I don't know if someone can give me their thoughts about it?

Thank you in advance. :)

Here's a reference picture that shows my squad member Baker:

The mustards from Chen at Ant-Z are not bad.
Good colour and nice lose cut. The cloth is not 100% wool but I bet you cant tell just looking at them.
They had them on their e-bay listings a while back.

Yep, I got a shirt and trousers from them for about 45 quid including postage. Excellent kit for the price!

Thank you gentlemen. I found the ebay page but he doesn't list any US items at the moment. :(

Then message him.
He wants to sell you stuff, just cos it ain't on e-bay right now doesn't mean he has none or wont make some.
Lots of the Chinese makers work like that. Don't see it listed, ask!
Worst answer is 'no', best is 'yes, what size'.

They are in his E-bay shop.

The shipping may seem costly but they do arrive quickly, non of the hanging about waiting for weeks.

I've worn a pir of Epic mustards at about half a dozen airsoft events over a couple of years. The fabric (70% wool) is a bit thin and has gone through at the knees in a few spots, but they don't look too bad and are fine for a "field" impression. Been darning the holes to stop them getting any bigger/ripping open.

Is this something to do with year of manufactor?

No, more to do with not being made in the same factory and cut from the same cloth.
Even if they were they could have weathered differently over the years.
Are all your jeans the same colour?

On the other hand I was lead to believe that the darker colour wools were for use with the ike jacket.
