With Chris, aka Stubblehoppers' departure, I think we need to stand up and be counted as to who is staying on board with the whole Kampfgruppe SS concept. I for one do not want to see it die off due to lack of interest or direction. Many of you have invested a lot of money, time and effort to look the part, let's not see it go to waste.
This is my two pence worth. We have a kit list and an orbat. We have a central cadre of players who turn up regularly to games and training days. What we need now is for everyone who is going to remain a "member" to post it up. Lets' keep the banter and wandering off topic to a minimum please, so we can get a definitive list of who is "on board". I also propose that we arrange a "get together" at a site, just to chat, organise ourselves and maybe even a bit of fun skirmishing. Think of it as a team building exercise in kit, rather than a training day. Without the pressure of sticking to a training schedule, we would have time to sort ourselves out properly kit wise, weapon wise, etc and have a day exclusively for the Kampfgruppe.
Thoughts and opinions?

I'll have a word the people I know who own several sites and see what I can organise and when. It may be a good idea to try and do something before the Bryansk forest game, so people can shakedown and try out any kit or weapons they have acquired recently. There's nothing worse than breaking in new kit in a "live" game, to find out it doesn't fit/rubs/is crap/etc.
I think we should walk before we run and keep things simple. If we get the basics right first, then it will be so much easier to improve from that point. Let's maintain sight of the fact that we are also supposed to be having FUN.

I'm in but will need to sort lifts etc so may be handicapped into not turning up.
A few times a year you can count on us too, there is only the long way that keeps us away sometimes, sorry for this. But if any support in material is needed, just contact us, or me!!!!!

No need at all for anyone to feel pressurised into attending every event and/or get together. We all have outside factors that sometimes take priority (my work diary for this year is a pain in the arse!). This is why we need to spread the running of this as a group, so that no one person is shouldering the whole burden and can afford to miss a few meetings without it all going t**s up in their absence. We can pool our knowledge and resources, we have Anthony as our Quartermaster to sort out kit requirements, I (and I'm sure others as well) have contacts for sites to train/meet up, we have a hardcore "drinkers club", we have great games to go to and some bloody good mates to have a laugh with as well. What more could a bloke ask for?
Once we establish just how many we number, we can work out who lives where and sort out lifts/carpooling, etc as well.

While the CiA four prefer to take a 'hands-off' approach with member-led groups - get on with what you want to get on with - don't forget we are here to help out where we can. I'm personally spreading myself a bit thin between PBI and Doughboys but if you will have me I'll be glad to join the ranks...
Don't forget there is nothing like a battle to bring chaps together - and PBI's Varsity game needs a few Jerries (and the game style should be rather tactical too)!
Thanks C-W, you know you're welcome anytime! The same goes for any of the CiA "big four". I'm also sure that some of the Kampfgruppe will be attending Varsity. I'm working myself (like on many other game dates this year), or I'd be there too.

Sorry, a stupid question maybe, who is in this part of the forum (KG SS) our admin or organizer? Because there are some questions I have in mind that I would like to ask. I dont know how you guys see this, we (the germans who visit you at the last TD and our fellows) would like to be a part of the KG SS, but I am not sure if you guys like this idea. The fact is, we cant show up for every TD or event, we have to keep looking for the bigger ones and for the TDs, where you would need us, specialy for the german commands etc., so if we will be a part of the KG, it doesnt brings you a big number of men more each time, but may we can bring some other ideas, help and support in to the KG.

I would welcome the German members.
Also it looks likes most original members are still on board. Maybe time for a list of KGSS memebrs to see the numbers and if any new recruits are needed.
Looking from the outside in, I'd think you guys (the Germans) would have an awful lot to offer the KG SS.
