I'm fed up of telling him not to keep posting in for sales/wanted about guns. Could one of you lot please reprimand him (I don't want to be seen as victimising him!) - we cannot be seen to have 13 years old openly asking for guns...

because i have PM'd him does not mean that i am trying to purches, i am PMing him for my father, who happens to be older than 18 and is UKARA registered.

thanks, Tom.

I'm sorry Tom, but if that's the case, then your father needs to register on the forum and PM Gunman himself.

As this is a public we cannot be seen to be condoning a minor attempting to purchase a RIF, which is how it seems to anyone looking at the thread.

I'd appreciate your cooperation in this. This forum is one of the only ones that still allows the sale of RIFs between users and we don't want to see that jeopardised.

In short, if we see you continuing to enquire in the wanted or for sale sections, we'll remove the posts and may consider banning you from the forum. Hopefully, we won't have to do this.

Thanks

Stephen

Can't be ased with it all , read the link and made the same points publically and also pressed the warn button.
I think the use of warnings allows us to remember which users have been offically spoken to before.

I also believe that publically warning gives three useful messages

1 It shows anyone reading this forum including officialdom that we take it very seriously , and proves due diligence to us in allowing RIF sales

2 It lets buyers know who are the underaged , WW2 Enthusiast was rebuffed by another user who remembered he was 15 .

3 Lets the underaged know that it won't be tolerated either , and then they might fuck off...

Does that make me CiA's nasty man ? not through choice .

IMHO it needs to be done publicly, to let the little sods know that it is simple NOT on.

Can the info about VCRA stuff in the note at the top of the For Sale forum be made bigger - so they have NO excuse for not seeing it?

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

It's not that Tom doesn't know about the VCRA but that he wishes it wasn't there!
The fact that we have the info there at all along with vigilance on our part is sufficient I think, no need to put more emphasis on it.

Anyhoo, Stephen had done it publicly so your wish was fulfilled Jay! Ah, wait - it's in HUGE BOLD TEXT so that must be Guy's handy work.

Old 'Un.... the Evil Mod Stuka of the forum , leaping on poor children with block capitals and sirens blaring ....

Sounds harsh , but as we have an over 18's at games I'd personally like and "over 18s only" on the forum ....and before you all leap to their defence it's only David and I who know what it's like to live with whiney teenagers 24/7 ....teenagers ...get a job and sort the world out before you forget that you know absolutely fecking everything .....

Perhaps a change of tack is needed here.

Rather than continually hassling Tom to no effect, why don't we just post to the sellers of any stuff he's interested in to tell them he's under age. After all it's their behind that's for it if they sell to him.

Having re read the psost it's not obvious what he's up to , could be for a modelling exercise . We can't stop him manufacturing if thats what he's up to , as long as he doesn't mention it no this forum . Plus fathers supposedly UKARA'd

My over 18 comment was alittle tongue in cheek . Devonshiore Trooper objected ot not being abel to come ot CR coz he was 17 , he put up a fight but didn't throw his teddy out .Now he comes to our games and I'm glad he hung in there, so it's not them all .
