What the hell is going on with the avatars?! People, especially Chommers, seem to be changing them by the hour! Is there something I've missed?

Save it as a JPG with reduced quality...
I have, to the point where the image is terrible quality so it's not viewable and it's still over 24k!
My current one is 84k. 
so it is.. CW must have changed the setting or something???
Hmmm mine is 5.8KB though, so perhaps not!
I just took your current avatar... loaded it into PSP and then saved it to a JPG... I got a 5.4KB file...
It was 42KB before.
I think Photoshop might be being crap.
