Well, it had to happen. We now have four bogus members (in amongst the last five if you take a look Yith). They look like URL propagation attempts but it's only a matter of time before we get spam posts - keep your eyes open!
Take it they'll be deleted ?-I've had this problems on other forums , no posts within a few days then I used to PM to verify them . If the website links looked dodgy just used ot bin them unless they started posting .
Yith will have to do it as he has kept all the peermissions to himself!
I suppose we could just do a manual member approval - it's not like we have hundreds registering ever day?
Spammers... grrr... I hate them with a vengeance. I thought we were going to be lucky this time.

Ah let me delete just a few of the Allies first 
Never quite sure what the purpose of these spurious members . We had a rash on the LR forums but I couldn't see why they bothered -most were linked to dodgy "buy viagra" sites , I suppose it's a case on any publicity is good, just seemd a lot of wasted effort .
Whats a "URL propagation attempt"
What they do is post on lots of sites so when the google webcrawler comes along it finds lots of links to their website.
This then increases the rank of their site on google.
Arghh ! It make sense now .

Lot of spam this morning I noticed, looks like OS cleared them out before I could get back to a computer!

I've deleted two users and their posts this morning
Edenceterbas7 - posted seven posts all of which were along the lines of "see here for a link to so and so giving a blow job" followed by a link I dared not look at at work

Guys... before deleting, click on the IP button at the top right of these posts.
Take a copy of the IP address. Then go to the admin panel and add that IP to the ban list.
Will do in future !
