Hi David

Could you replace the ot - to text convertor in the auto text replace.? Used to be there but since v3 I seem to be saying "ot" a lot .

I have about twenty words that always, always end up being typed wrong no matter how careful i try to be.

they include form instead of from, airsfot instead of airsoft, whermacht instead of wehrmacht and the like. Its *really* annoying especially 'from/form' as the spellchecker doesn't pick it up.

Agreed Rich, use a spell checker, proof read before you hit 'submit'.
OT is a useful abbreviation for off topic. Silly to change form to from!
I type everything backwards so have to check what I have written and I am a terrible speller, yet my posts are fine!

Come up with a list of sensible corrections and I'll put them up.

to ot

This was in before V3, TBH I've not seen OT used much , whereas I type the word to in virtually every post. And yes I check most of it but it is irritiating to have ot keep correcting . So pretty please can you do it

I wasn't asking you to i was merely pointing out i have some habitual typos that even when i'm concentrating seem to crop up.

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if i might have mild dyslexia, as i just *cannot* see the above typos when i proof read my own stuff.

I have to check incredibly slowly.

nah... most people can't see typos in their own writing... Thats why you have proof readers.

I think its mostly down to the brain already knowing what has been written there and filling in the blanks.

Kind of like when Word auto fixes "teh" to "the" for you.

Also you can actually spell dyslexia... unlike proper dyslexics

BTW on the same sort of subject, Steve I loved your response on this thread...

Here's a little proofreading tip for spelling....read what you've written backwards, that way you don't fill in the blanks by completing the sentence in your head.
