Is it best to have a spring loaded hammer to set off a moscart or can you just press the back in.
I know I can set it off with my finger but is a hammer better to get a faster gas release?

If you look here there is a home made Russian 40mm that’s easy to make, http://englishrussia.com/?p=965
but a smaller thing like a peacemaker rear end would look better I think.

why dont you mount some sort of madbull launcher into the end of the barrel.

They just have a button at the back which shoots it,

How about this I think I have an old diecast rear end off a colt navy.

Police may not like it though.
I have never used 40's before I take it because the things are big and I probably wont use many that I can use butane gas.

Ps thanks Helga.

looking great oddball. I think a hammer would be better as it depresses the button evenly and faster

Just a side note to the launcher query,..... are you going to be putting tracks on the tank? I think it looks quite groovy like that!! :)

I am trying to find a Freight Broker in the USA, who in turn will ship to the UK.
I have contacted American Baggage & Box Transport,Inc tonight and they want to know the weight and where from and to.

This is where from or at least a US dealer http://members.aye.net/%7Erclark/parts_tracks.shtml

That is £631.588 GBP as 1 GBP = 2.01397 USD a good time to buy maybe.

I wouldn't use a hammer as such, as the continued percushion would dent in the end after a while, and the initial strike of a hammer might cause the valve to jump ahead of the hammer a bit (equal and opposite forces and all that stuff) which would cause a semi-release before the hammer caught up with it again. I'd go for some sort of sprung latch on a catch. Releasing the catch would allow a heavily sprung arm to activate the shell.

I think he means the working parts, with the barrel jacketed on the outside and the receiver only visible inside.

Makes sense, too - they're proven reliable, have available box mags, are easy to cut down (at the rear, providing the battery is external, the stock can be completely removed) and easy to upgrade and repair, all dependant on the manufacturer, of course. At least, that's the idea I got from before.

Pushing the button on the moscart in by hand will be fine... Thats all that the various launchers do.

If you want to make a trigger the only spring you'll need is the one to reset the trigger after you've pushed it forward. There's no need to make a proper hammer or anything.

Yep airborne as Gadge has given me some good info, I have printed a Pegasus to make a stencil for the front in a red square.
Bird of prey name (sparrow hawk :? ) maybe.
or Liverbird http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liver_Bird

Here is a quick PC sketch for the M4 (may ask Steve to tune up M4 for me)

I don't want to leave the M4 in all the time but want a solid fixing with some support hence springs etc.

Smoke launchers here http://www.tqnyc.org/NYC073871/smoke_round_launcher.htm

M4 isnt ww2,,, I INSIST you use a .30 for your coax

also how is it sighted, just follow the bb trail, or will you have a scope for aiming,

you should have a scope and a set convergance gun to sight , say 40m to make shooting harder, after all you are BB proof

If it's a plastic-bodied M4, then i'd advise that you use a different method of attachment. After all, the top rail is only held on with one screw and two *tiny* lugs - and is a common breakpoint on plastic bodied M16 derivatives.

If it's metal bodied - you're laughing.

Don't worry it's metal as this mount was the plan before I ordered it.
From outside will hopefully look ok not like a 2" OD 30 cal though Porta

I think I have room to make a slit window above the gun mount so that will have to do, after all crap vision goes with the territory but you know more about that than me. (in a tank that is not saying you are blind :P )
The scope idea is good though because you only need a small hole to fit it

I think this SMOKE VIDEO is up your street, I was looking around for what to do to make the dummy smoke launchers for the turret. It would have to have fuse wire/ wire wool primer etc and battery to start it.
Could burn the hell out the paintwork though so probably won't bother.
