Hey guys and girls,

As the title suggests, I'm after a stock hopup unit for an MP40, I have managed to loose mine in the process of putting in the AK style one and the new slider won't fit.

As you can expect I'm reluctant to buy a completely new MP40 just for the Hop-up's adjuster. If someone even has a broken/ disused MP40, i'll take it off your hands

Thanks :)

I'm pretty sure I've got my original one somewhere. Will have a look. Was it just the hop unit or barrel as well?

Out of interest, I managed to fir an AK hop unit i mine and the slider was ok. What brand of hop did you use?

Regards,

Ralph

Its an Element Airsoft AK type. Mainly because the original Hop for my MP40 was torn so was doing absolutely nothing :P.

Edit: So managed to get the new hop-up to fit, but it has the same problem where putting hopup on just makes the BBs drop quicker.
Help anyone?

Take out your inner barrel ,look down the muzzle end,and move your adjuster for hop up.you should see the hop rubber projecting into
the bore diameter,by about 0.25 mm.,check that it changes when you make hop adjustments.
If there is no projection of the rubber into the bore the 3mm diameter rubber cylinder or nub may not be positioned correctly in the
Cradle on the adjuster arm.
I saw one gun once where the barrel was upside down so the adjuster could make contact through the cut out in the barrel.
Make sure there is no silicon oil on the. Inside of the hop rubber, that will stop spin being imparted on the bb bullet.
Sometimes the rubber projection into the bore can be slightly off centre ,making shots go of to one side, twist the barrel in the chamber
housing,thats a separate problem though.

I'm just about to attempt a hop replacement on my agm mp40, to an ak 47 one, I've seen it done, so I'm going to do it. The original hop and barrel are pathetic to say the least, so if you can't find an original hop, in a month or so I will have a spare one.
