What do you guys think about converting one of these http://www.fire-support.co.uk/store/com ... oduct=2424 into a piat, it fires plastic bottle so thus wont hurt, it probably has the same range as a real piat lol and its not overly expensive, it also uses a pump to reload it so no spending a fortune on gas, what you think ?
It's just a coke bottle water rocket, just disguised as a launcher and fired horizontally rather than the usual vertical
I'd deem this pretty unsafe, as they do fire off at quite a rate, and the bottom of a plastic bottle is rather solid to be launching towards people, especially if it hits you half full of water (if filled with water - they really don't work at all well without some water content). Not to mention everyones kit and AEGs getting showered in water. Sorry to poo-poo the idea.

Ah i missunderstood how it worked, sorry
besides, youd have to carry loads of water around with you, and a pump, and youd have to pump up the rocket prior to luanch anyway, ultimately takes about 40secs (ish) to complete the process, by which time you'd porbably have been shot several times for good measure, nice idea though, it would be great to have a piet, hmm i wonder!?
could just get one of these hehe

all it is is a giant moscart launcher. cant be that hard to convert some ww2 ones to do something similar
I had a go at producing a panzerfaust that could chuck a tennis ball or pea grenade approx.100 yards ,the main problem - which our american cousins don't have ,is that anything that has that kind of power be it sprung or gas is getting perilously close to being classed as a firearm ( 12 foot pounds ) and almost certainly too high powered for most airsoft site insurers.
You could always use the simplicity of a tennis racquet/pea grenade combo - as featured at KGB's WW2 game last year!
A 99 pence tennis ball thrower from the local pet shop does the job magnificently !
