I was just browsing airsoft news and noticed that AZR are making Ruger mini 14 stocks for the M14 action. I`m wondering if it might make a reasonable base for an M1 carbine, with some mag modification, as it comes with an adaptor to take M16 mags ![]()

Unfortunately, I don't think it would work. The mini 14 is basically a shortened M14, chambered for 5.56mm. So, the stock is basically a cut down M14 stock. The M1 stock is totally different, as is the receiver group. Magazines would also be a problem I'm afraid. I like your line of thinking Slick but I just can't see how it could be done with this as a donor. A good M1 carbine aeg has become the new "holy grail" now the PPSH41 has been done!

Yep after thinking about it, it does seem a bit of a long shot...I`m just looking for an excuse for another project ![]()

Why not finish your MG34 and post up some pictures?

I`m still waiting on action hobbys to get one of the mags in then I`ll find a bit of motivation for the mg34. I gave it a test fire but the utg box is really underpowered and the inner barrel is too short so those will be next to sort. At the moment its slung in the boiler cupboard, the gas bloke came round two weeks ago to check the system and got a bit of a shock when he opened the door to the cupboard.... mg34, sten and m4 lounging against the combi boiler ![]()
