Can anyone please recommend the best colt 1911 pistol to buy for skirmishing and period look, What gas we should use for our weather conditions ie; propane, 134a etc and can the pistols take it? Any advice would be very welcome before I go and buy the wrong one!

Lt. Morris Schaffer: "Second rate punk," eh?
Major John Smith: Sorry. All I could think of on the spur of the moment.
Lt. Morris Schaffer: Thanks, that makes it even worse.
You'd probably be best looking at the TM, or even the TM clone when it becomes available. The WE is OK, but the TM definitely has it for looks and reliability. ![]()

Yeah the TM one is nice. V little rattle compared to the Western Arms ones (and about half the price) wouldnt shove anything above Abbey half and half(or whatever they call their 134a mix gas now) through it as you can blow the back of the slide off. WE apparently suffers in colder weather as its all metal but I think it can take greengas.
To be honest tho a pistol is a pistol. You're very rarely gonna use one and it'll be even rarer if you hit anything with it so my advice is go with the cheapest and spend the rest on kit ![]()
No longer involved in airsoft.
I don't have a pistol at the moment, for just that reason.

TM 1911 is the nuts and you will use it... I'm forever whipping mine out (ooh err) when using my 'captured' MP40 and those darn low caps!

i think the tm and wa about par from my experience. loved both of them but as they say above you rarely get to use a pistol so i sold mine and kept behind my kwa glock 19 (cheap to buy and reliable) and leave it in my bread bag for emergencies. i know it not period but heyho.
Take him out and shoot him!

The closer one to the real thing is the Western Arms : the one for the style (regardless bucks). The TM and clones are slightly smaller, but work much better : the ones for the game. The Bell is a very good choice, and imbeatable for the price.
I am waiting for the WE CO2 I've just ordered. Yes, the longer magazine is awfull, but for the game CO2 IS superior. I'll keep you informed (if interested!).

I have a Marushin P38 NBB. not as nice as the Maruzen but its cheap, reliable and fairly powerful as its a non-blowback. also takes green-gas no problem for when its cold!

So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

if anyone has one on the eagle has landed event i will have a nose and chat with them lol and make my mind up then lol. but for now glock still stays ![]()
Thanks gentlemen it looks like the TM is the one to go fore. I will invesitgate the bell as well. This is all plastic one thinks, so maybe a throw away gun if damaged in the games?

RSOV have a TM clone 1911 that works out a little cheaper than the TM but my advice would be to buy the TM. Best by far!
