Hi guys
I'm going to attempt to make a replica Bangolare torpedo worth aliminium pipe (we'll as near to the ariginal as possible) but with only 5x 5ft tubes & not 10 like the original.
Instead of a pull fuse I'm going to make it with an electic fuse.
I'm going to use the tubing to connect the negative current to the explosive charge & run the positive current though the middle Concting each pipe up with a male & female single plug.
It's easer to draw than explain but I'm looking for any ideas on designing a way to connect the pipes together.
Quick thanks to anyone with any ideas I can maybe use.

Hi Pete,
you've got a great idea there, and knowing your penchant for explosives, I've no doubt they will be a proper loud bang.
As an idea for connecting the tubes together, how about the push button Spring way, used on most telescopic walking sticks, collapsible Gazeebo legs and the like, I have got some somewhere from a scrapped Gazeebo, I Would like to put up some photo's but my google connect keeps cutting out for some reason and haven't got it sorted yet, so I'll try to explain.
Where your tubes meet, you need either an outer collar or an inner collar to slide into or onto. The piece that goes in has two holes in line
I would use a piece of flat Spring metal ( a section of hacksaw blade would do ) with two holes to aline withe the two in your tube, one would mount the spring metal to the inside of the tube, making the fixing flush with the outer of the tube, pushing through the other hole would activavate the Spring movement, a smaller diameter bolt ( so it clears throug the hole, and with a short spacer, bolted on will now give you a press button), another hole in the outer tube to line up with this so the bolt and spacer slightly poke through, giving you a lock peg. By pushing this back in will release the locking action. You could put another one 180 degree, obviously giving you two lock pegs, using thumb and forefinger to work the locking and unlocking action.
I hope that all makes sense!
Andy

Hi guys
I've done it
The Bangolare Torpedo & crate.
I've just got 2 little bits to do & then spray paint & stencil up.
It not an exact replica but it's somewhere near it.
Here's some photos-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --
Photos show how pipes connect with each other & how the nose cone fits also the fire switch that you can not I'll repeat it again" YOU CAN NOT FIRE THE BANGOLARE BY ACCIDENT " the switch has a cover on it that you have to lift or it won't fire.
I've taken a lot of health & safety in to consideration when designing this so there is no way of firing this by accident, no premature firing.
There's only 5 pipes to use the crate has a false bottom to make it looked filled.
The pipes are just pipes until you put them all together.
First 4 pipes including the nose cone can be connected & it will do nothing(there's no power running through it.
When you connect the last pipe to the other 4 it becomes live.
The battery is housed behind the switch the positive power runs through the middle of the pipes on cables & the negative fedd runs along the pipes themselfs.

Well lads hope you like my project just need to stencil it/get some one to stencil it for me.
Here's some photos & remember this is a working weapon that can fire a nose cone or I can add an extra pipe made of cardboard that would have 10 charges & 2 smokes for a very big effect.
When firing a cardboard tube it would use tape fuse that burns at 10 meters a second so all changes would go off together not sounding like Chinese firecrackers.-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --
