Cheers for that; luckily my mate has access to a deac already. How much cheaper are new spec deacs (lanchester) btw?
Think I may have got hold of the gearbox, barrel and hop of an agm m14 btw. Is £65.00 reasonable for that? Havn't got it yet, was wondering if it was worth it.
cheers,
-Matt

To try and save money, i've decided to do most of the work on this myself. Thus far, all I have is the stock and trigger guard (from an air rifle and ak47 respectively), which I have been working on. I will be ordering alumiunium tube for the receiver later today, and I should have an mp5 mag well on the way. However, I still need a gearbox, preferably from an Mp7 or skorpion, although any aep one will do, so if you have one, get in touch.
Work so far:

Stock has been stripped of the very horrible brown paint it had, and the ak trigger guard cut away to make it more like the original.

Quick update; received the ally tube today, and started work. So far have mounted the tube on the stock (badly, will need replacing), made the muzzle cap (from an old broken Bv system, with a sheet steel shroud so it fits snugly in the barrel), the end cap and one of several bands. I don't have access to a pillar drill atm, but when I do I will perforate the barrel shroud. Not entirely sure how i'm going to make the front/rear sights either. If someone can suggest a really good way of marrying the receiver to the stock, please tell me. No glue please, I must be able to detach it:

Dodgy mounting:

Another update:

Fitted the maginze well, cut the slot for the magazine to feed through, started on the flash hider, varnised the stock and started on the front sight. Next step is drilling the vent holes, and starting work on the internals. The G18 gearbox I had was too deep, so now i'm looking for an MP7 to replace it. The type of smg i'm building has changed to the Japanese type 100/40, as it's smaller size and curved magazine mean I can use more off the shelf parts:

(CAW model).
Magazine well epoxy in prgress:

Thats a fantastic idea to use an MP5 magwell!

Ok, rather than trying to continue with insufficient parts and tooling, i've decided (when ready) to hand this over to my mate, who can mount the internals properly and use his various bits of machinery to make the outside bling.
As I won't be seeing him for a while, i've tarted the gun up now, to be used as a model gun/prop.
Piccies:

Cheers for the support guys, if anyone wants plans or guidance, get in touch.

That's not an Mp34(o), it's a Steyr Soluthurn S1-100, damn german's renaming things :P
I was going to build one of those, the shape of the receiver put me off.
I hope you have a milling machine!
good luck, pm if you want tips,
Matt

It's a bit small, 30mm o.d, 26mm i.d aluminium pipe. You'll need 38-42mm for a lanchester i'd reckon; that's what the sterling has. (38mm).
You'll never fit a full gb in there, an aep one is the only way to go.
