Don't use the Chinese chargers!

I can thoroughly recommend the charger at the foot of the page - stunning value and works very well. For 8.4 batts set on '7 cells' and '300mA' plug in your battery and wait! It's an intelligent charger so won't overcharge. You could easily pay three or four times that amount for other chargers. Avoid 'fast chargers' that blat your batteries - much better to plan ahead, treat your batteries with respect and give them the slow/medium charge treatment! IMHO.

BTW, all those batteries on that page are just great for airsoft - excellent quality and excellent price (they deliver quick too).

I agree with CW - I've got the same charger and it's never done me wrong and I always slow charge

Pro Peak VP 2500 charges most batteries in 5-10 mins.

I've been using one for the last 3 years without a single buggered battery.

100% recommended.

Should cost around £35.

If they're getting hot (as the smaller ones do if you charge them at full ampage) then reduce the charging amps!

:)

Mine get slightly warm... not hot!

To be honest the only ones that ever concerned me were the tiny Micro AEG batteries... I charge those at 1AMP and they're fine.

* Put's arm round Yith in a fatherly way *

Richard, imagine your battery is a beautiful lady, give her time and take things slow and that way the relationship will be stronger and more long lasting.

Of course, if you want a one night stand.....

However you treat your women, sorry batteries, the £12 charger works very well - nothing to set (unless you change battery types) and it really is plug and forget.

As I've said... I've had no problems with it in 3 years...

I think my batteries must like it "hard and fast" ;)

Each to his own... lol

I too have a pro-peak and prefer the long and slow method of handling my batteries.

You can just put this on and leave it on and it will charge the battery and keep it topped up.

In the five years I've been using my battery, I've never discharged it or given it any special treatment. I just plug it in and leave it a couple of days then take it off charge a couple of days before use. My battery has never run out on me, even on weekenders.

I would say that my batteries like to be treated mean to keep them keen, to take the sexual analogy to its conclusion. I did try to take it out for a meal once, but it was having none of it and pretended it had a headache when the moment of intimacy arrived.

Personally I hate the idea of leaving my batteries plugged in for ages unattended. You never know what they'll do whilst you're out! Hence why a "quickie" is my fave.

Ah, Headshot advocates Tantric charging!

Once in a while I indulge in the odd quickie too and it has a lot going for it for the hard-pressed airsofter with a small window of opportunity.

However, I still maintain that to get the best out of my big fat batteries (in terms of volume of energy and length of service) I need a long, slow charge.

Fnnaarr.

Of course, it's all a bit academic as I only get to charge my batteries five or six times a year these days. Not enough WW2 days you see...

personally recommend one of these, i have the older model and made up a bunch of leads so i can use it to charge and cycle all my battery packs (guns/rc cars/flying/ anything almost)

Do you like my little tank?
