The barrel
PVC tube in D.50mm with 92 holes.
Attached with 2 screws on the side.

Tip of barrel
With same diameter of barrel tube, with another one cut and sleeved inside.
The external one is conical by turning.
A washer is glued as a big screw.

The hood
In 5mm sheet of PVC

Front part
Most important piece of the machine gun, it is the base of barrel support and gearbox support.

The handle
In reality, it is for the recal spring.
Plastic parts and wood.

Cover lock

Side plate with cartridge passing.

The Front sight

The bottom plate

The rear sight (it is not enough large, i think i will remake it latter).
The sight is the same as the BAR, so i will try to buy it

The ammobox mecanism (from M249)

I had just make a PVC box with is put in the .30 original box

Finally, i made the top in transparent PC for watching the BBs consumption.

I haven't take pics of the trigger but the aim is to activate two commutators, one for the gearbox and one for the ammo.

I've got to say it's not my favourite MG ,just look's inelegant but that's just my taste .you have done a splendid job on it ,looks robust as well and that's important ,one little tip about real sights is that they often don't work on airsoft guns as they don't allow for a flat trajectory ,i find its often easier to make them yourself (and you clearly have the skill's) that way you can adjust the proportion's so that they work as they should .what internal's are you using ? are the m249 as well .

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

Thanks.

yes the internal is from an M249, i have to complete my tutorial, lots of missing pics
I'ven't weigh it but i can compare by hand with the viva arms one and mine (MG & tripod) is lighter than just the tripod

This is time to get out the laby and give her a new dress !!

Cal.30 1917 version

Some modifications must be made for more reality. The front sight, a bit large but I will can change it in futur.

I never put the screw of base plate which. That is done.

Finally, I decide to make the rear sight.
This is a free interpretation of the real one.

The système is fixed by 2 screws and it is remmovable for the 1919 version.

I just made pics before the paint job.

A nice idea making up a secont barrel ,you have some skills with the plastic ,I never trust glue , for me it never works but you obviously know what your doing !

The secret for gluing or painting the PVC is too clean it just before with aceton.
it really magic.
Also I use screws because I like when it is removable.
