Hi all,
The safety catch/ firing pin assembly on my dboys K98 is able to rotate (albeit with clicks) when the bolt is drawn back and can unscrewed, I am pretty sure it didn't do that before, but I can't be 100% sure as I don't use it very often. Is that normal or should there be something to stop that happening?
I suspect soemthing fell off it the other day, I thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye but couldn't find anything in the grass.
Cheers,
Ranj

Is it spring or gas? My gas one doesn't rotate, but I do have a spring bolt and that does unscrew !

It is a spring. It still seems to work but if it rotated while you were cocking it ist could be a pain in the arse.

It's normal ,doesn't happen often in use but if it does it digs into the stock when you push the bolt forward ,when forward it sits in a groove in the breech so it stays in place as you rotate the bolt but as you pull it back its just a ball and spring thingy that keeps it in line.
