just skirmish it out of the box, i do
or do a total conversion, there IS ABSOLUTLY NO POINT trying to upgrade it, every shot is different as every cartridge is slightly different
the barrel is 3 parts,

bolt .......cartridge............6mm barrel..............8mm barrel
every cartridge has 2 o rings , one at each end, so every cartridge can leak at two places
with an 8 to 10 inch 6mm barrel accuracy aint great , ive never even bothered to open up the hop
average fps with .2 bb is 270 - 280
with a .3 bb that drops to 200
i can consitantly hit a torso size target at 25m with NO WIND

I have never skirmished with it or any other rifle for that mater, so I cannot really help you there, but from what I have read on this forum and in your post I just wanted to say that I like the cut of your jib sir!
I'm sure you've read Porta's comments about this on the other thread, but by the sounds of it, get yourself a chrono, a load of extara cartridges, test 'em all and keep the ones that have the best seals and so shoot consistently and don't misfire.

I really want a K98 with no MED but I still think the shells are a pain.

The gas bolt's awful. It's leaky, unreliable, and makes a crap gun even worse.
Seriously, steer clear, unless you're using it as a basis for a springer conversion or just want a decorative wall hanger.
