Well rather than keep posting on the other thread about the Chinese ones, here is a thread for anyone making their own like Jay and I.
I still have quite a bit to do but may have it running for the 24th with any luck.
This is a comparison photo I just made to see how the stock compared to others.
I am moving the sling point on the stock forwards to a stronger point as I have the normal point hollow so wood screws would not fix well. It is just pasted on in the picture hence looks a bid odd, also the trigger is pasted form the real one as it needs enlarging to look right.
The stock is 3 planks laminated together glued and doweled this has made it easier to fit the M14 gearbox inside.

No mate scrap metal I had in the garage I knew if I kept it 25 years I would find a use for it one day.
