My clone m1911 is not feeding. Fires fine on gas only but when I add BBs, it seems to be trying to feed 3 at a time. I'm a novice with GBB takedowns but it looks like the loading tube thingy isn't going back into the barrel?
Heeelp!

How often do you strip it down and clean it HB?
My TM one would start to do this if I didnt keep it well cleaned and lubed up (seals etc that is) When my mate put the metal frame on it, he cleaned out all of the horrible gunk that had built up over a fairly short period of time and it started cycling well again.
If it is feeding more than one when the mag is in, the pincers at the top of the mag may have weakened (imagine pulling back the tab on a AEG mag, theres nothing to restrict the next BB from moving) A GBB gun picks the top BB off the top of the mag each time it cycles, so it would appear that the problem is when the slide is locked back. (as in your 1st pic)
Thats about the extent of my knowledge, perhaps somebody could qualify the solution better

Hi,
I had this and it was a plastic arm on the loader nozzle that had snapped on a new pistol! Got a replacement and still a bit dodgy.
Bought a Marui one in desperation - it does the same! Even though nothing is broken.
I guess, if it all looks OK, a really good clean and light silicone lubing might help. I also found they don't like the cold weather (well mine don't) but seem to fire and feed much more reliably in warmer conditions.
I can explain how mine takes down if needed?

Yes please
a takedown guide would be most welcome. I going to hange the loadng tube and clean what I can but could with tsome help gettng the bits out of the slide ![]()

It was the litte plastic arm on the loader tube thingy. I think it broke off due to a dodgy ag so I installed the spare one that came with the gun and got a mag through the gun with no problems...
The reason I think it's a dodgy mag is that I put my 2nd mag into the pistol and the fugging arm broke off again! Now off to google a (metal?) replacement...

Right, no pictures so I'll try and do this in words.
On the left side of the pistol is the take down lever/ pin. It appears as a pin on the right side under the middle of the ejection port.
Pull the slide back almost all the way and then push the pin n the right side out, a little wiggle helps.
The pin and lever should come out very easily. Once out the slide will come off the pistol with the barrel assy.
To take the nozzle out of the slide assy, there is an allen bolt on the back of the slide. Undo this and the nozzle assy will come out, watch out for the springs!
Hope this is enough to help!

I've also noticed that the silver barrel sleeve is moving. This doesn't look right so I think I'm going to fix it with a grub screw. Anyone else noticed this?

It should move forward and backwards slightly, when you have a look at the hop unit and the inner barrel, there should be about a 5mm gap between that and where the outer barel starts at the bottom. I think that has something do with with the fact that the outer barrel needs a bit of give in it, so that when the slide pulls back, it doesnt snap it off.

I think that the silver barrel cover is moving way too much - certainly more than a few mm. If this is what's causing the problem, can the cover be fixed in place or does it need a bit of wobble? My old TM doesn't seem to move at all so I was thinking of popping a small grub screw in at the back of ejector cover?
Any ideas / comments? Here are some pics to show what I mean...

The movement in the last 2 pictures *should* be what happens, at least thats what mine does, should move by about 5mm.

An other ideas why it's broken 2 chambers? I am now stumped... ![]()

Just a set of wild ideas...
Do the bbs come out of the mag as the loader nozzle pushes and what gas is being used?
Is the return sping quite strong as it could be that it is slamming the nozzle against the bb too hard (or even missing the bb and hitting something else!
If you cycle the slide by hand, does it load a bb easily each time?
Does the loader nozzle rotate making the pushing bit swing away from the bb?

Yes - about three at a time becuase the little feeder arm has snapped off
No - it's the std spring at the moment
No - same as #1 above. About three try to feed in.
No - the barrel / hop combo wobbles from side to side a bit but the chamber is solid.
