I have fixed the leaky magazine problem.

There where two issues here.

1) I removed the gas release valves and the rubber blocks from the top of both magazines and completely immersed them in halfords dot4 brake fluid (£4 for 350 ml or there abouts) overnight. This solved the deflating magazine problem. The gas release button has a smoother action now and my guess is that the brake fluid has lubricated the mechanism so that valve now resets to the closed position a lot faster than it used to. Essentially I think the deflation was caused by sticky valves.

After doing this this the difference in shooting action and blowback power is night and day compared to what it was before.

2) One of the magazines would deflate very, very quietly and slowly when the gun was fired on safety. This was simply caused by the valve not being screwed in to the magazine enough. This meant that the gas release button on the valve was sitting proud of the magazine by a fraction of a mm and because there is very, very slight play in the firing pin when the gun in fired on safety, the pin could reach and the depress the gas release button ever so slightly.

Now the valve has been screwed in further to the magazine and the firing pin can no longer reach the gas release button when fired on safety.

Thanks to everyone who replied.
