As to the MG34 dimensions I've got a set of repro MG34 parts and I'll try and get them measured up tomorrow 
@ Rockdelta which site are you talking about? if it's the one in this thread then as far as I know they only sell de-ac's however if you look here http://www.zib-militaria.de/epages/6143 ... oducts/200 that's an all metal replica which sgt heide on this forum has already turned 2 of these into working airsoft guns, have a look at this thread viewtopic.php?f=55&t=3707
@sly I've not forgotten just not had a chance to dig the stuff out, I'll try and get it done this weekend and post some dimensions and pictures.
does anyone have approximate dimensions of the gurtrommel? (think i spelt it right) 50 round drum.

I have 2 Gurttrommel manufactured by Lohmann-Werke, A.G., Bielefeld in 1943 and the Gurttrommeltrager 34.
