From my contact at King Arms, 110 round MP40 and 110 round Thompson mags will be released soon. They will both be sold in box sets of 5 mags. They will be made from ABS, and pricing will be low!

Shall I warn them about the expected demand ;)

Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Why 5 MP40 mags though? Pouches take 3 or 6 and are normally worn in pairs plus one for the gun. Odd number to chose.

Heh, to a cynic like me it's not odd at all - it means you have to buy two packs!

US Thompson pouches would need 3+1 or 5+1 or 6+1 so that would require 1 or 2 packs and have spares for breakages/loss, same sort of deal for the MP40 - no great shakes if they are cheap.

Still, 5 x 110 rounds = 550 total, nicely fitting in with the CiA 600rnd limit!

I think 5 in a pack is ok. 5 x 110 midcaps + 1 x 50 locap = 600 rounds! No more carrying extra mags in assorted places!

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Good news, except for two things.

1. We'll now all have to find something else to argue about instead of the great Thompson Hicap debate.
2. If they're anything like my King Arms M14 midcaps they'll be 110 rounds, 10 usable (i.e. they'll stop feeding after the first 10 and that's if you're lucky).

Yeah, that and the fact you can only ever get 2/3rds of the stated capacity into them. Lets just hope these turn out to be better. But still I guess its good news that someone has taken note of our problem and a non cheapsoft manufacturer at that.

I'll wait for you lot to field test them before I consider it. Actually, I might just buy up your surplus lo-caps on the cheap!

Sorry I will curb my enthusiasm till I see them. From the picture it seems the Thompson mags are the uncommon for WWII 30 round length. Which will leave me prefering to stay with the Marui HiCaps of 190 BB's in the 20 round length

Now available for $32.50 at WGC http://www.uncompany.com/pageenter.asp They seem to have the MP40 and M1A1 versions in stock.

Hurrah - at last I can use my MP40 and maybe keep up with the M4 brigade!
