Yeah, that's sort of what I had in mind. I assume the part on yours was taken straight from the denix?
I can see how it would be screwed on the right hand side, but since the screw and metal is vertical on the left hand side I'm not sure how that would work?
Putty on the inside is the idea I had.
What's the receiver material?
You might be better off trying some kind of solvent glue if it's plastic. If it's metal, an epoxy, or some of that "chemical metal" stuff you can get from the likes of Halfords. It mixes like putty or body filler, and sets stronger than some metals.
I've done some work on this tonight. Got some metal bar from B&Q and bent it to a rough shape and cut and filed it for detail. Then I've used the 2 part epoxy metal stuff to attach it to the receiver itself. So far it's looking pretty good.
yith, desperate to see some pics of the finished woodwork....
Once I have the bridge finished I'll post some pics. Right now it's a bit ugly, paint scratched, unfiled putty etc...
I am happy though that it will look good!
I hope to have the bridge done tonight, spray it up and then I can post pics again.
All done.
There's maybe minor things I could do, but then I'd be tinkering with it forever! As far as I'm concerned this is now finished.
Excellent Richard

Yes pretty much.
Certainly up to late '44 in some areas anyway.
