Lets hope theres something for the allies following on .
Based on the type of mag and the RIS rail on top I suspect it's a M3, plus it ain't going to be out before 1st October ![]()

Hmmm. Er, according to an email i received today, from a friend in the far east, he's 99.9% sure its a hoax.
There's a good reason for this view. The MG42 - from a (relatively) small scale production point of view - is a damn sight more expensive to tool up for than an MG34, where most of it would be die-cast, with the exception of the barrel shroud and the outer barrel. Tooling up for stamped metalworking is *very* expensive to setup by comparison.

It which case it's almost certainly one of Ultima's offering based on Shoei's M3.

That said though, why would you want to ruin a perfectly sh1t hot looking piece of kit with a RIS rail! Seems like sacrilege to me!

mainly so the prat brigade can stick lasers, scopes, torches and grenade launchers on it... ![]()
Lets have a think...
Night game + MG3 (which is what that is) + Tripod + NV mounted on the RIS = Mucho pwnage at long range ![]()

I hope this will be semi affordable ![]()
The lads are right, green plastic furniture means its an mg3

Seemed to be a hoax. The one in the pics was *definitely* a real one. We live in hope though, i'd kill for a decent out-of-the-box MG34

As nice as it would've been, i'd rather the chinese got to work on something cheap and useful, like K98, Mosin and No.4 springers.
all they'd really need to do is tool up 3 new plastic bodies for the Mp001 and a few metal castings, and they'd sell by the shedload.
I've been hearing speculation about World War 2 era weaponry for a while, the Chinese MG34 has been a popular one to say the least, though i've also heard that Marui are working on a Garand (Wikipedia says gas blowback, but some folks have been saying AEG) though i'll believe it when I see it!
LOL, that Marui Garand is a wind-up from a *long* time ago on the Rising Sun Recon website. As an April Fools joke, ive not seen much better.
Regarding Chinese WW2 guns, you're got to look at the two we've had so far. The Thompson was a direct copy, the AGM MP40 was externally a copy of the TOP MP40 fitted with a butchered V3 gearbox. Neither of them required a huge investment in R&D.
What i'm trying to say is this. I can only see the Chinese making a particular gun from the ground up if there is either 1: not one out on the market at the moment, therefore guaranteeing sales 2: huge demand for a specific model.
The cheapest of all to build would be bolt-action rifles, because the receiver would be die-cast from monkey-metal. The cylinder, Hop-up unit, Inner barrel, Magazines could all be VSR or APS type units. It's all easily mass-produced.
If i were to hazard a guess, i reckon we'd have more chance of seeing a 34 than a 42 for a very simple reason. With the exception of the barrel shroud and the outer barrel, the vast majority of a 34 could be die cast. The 42, by its very nature would have to be stamped, welded and machined sheet steel or ally. This is VASTLY more expensive than die-casting.

Which is why I'm amazed that they haven't made an AEG Garand. The US market would be massive.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Hmmm interesting to read, waiting for a link **if** the person remembers
to see if its real or not now, but there were various whispers about this at the victory show, stating someone is actually in the throws of cobbling one together to see if its viable. However chances are if it is it will be post VCR bill
