Looks nice. Unfortunately, it offers no replacement for the hop system itself, only a more durable casing ad the ability to fit a VSR barrel and rubber.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Okay, maybe somebody can clear this up for me as I'm a little bit confused here. please correct me if I'm wrong here but I've been looking for a BGS hop up system to replace my aging Tanaka for some time now and have yet to locate one.

What I've learned in the process is that for starters, I'll find golden hen's teeth before I find a BGS complete hop system.

Second is that the G&G as well as thew new AF Kar 98k's have their hop system based on the newer versions of Tanaka's 98's which have their hop systems based on their M700 models which what I've heard are very good. source: Redwolf product description http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/a ... _stamp.htm

Am I out to lunch here or is this true?

If I can replace my hop and rubber with something better then... :happydance:

I've given up trying to beg borrow or steal a BGS hop rubber, Den Trinity have told me they are not in production any more so I shall be ordering one of these Zeta labs conversion kits and a 550mm 6.03 VSR inner barrel for my K98, at least there are many VSR hop rubbers to choose from untill I get it right.

Going to do a quick update on this hop chamber. While it is very nicely machined Zeta Lab neglected to properly machine the keyed nub in the bottom of the physical chamber itself that prevents the hop unit from rotating.

I fixed this by filing down the bottom of the hop unit to gain the required clearance to insert the hop fully into the body. Pain in the fucking ass.

However this coupled with the BGS hop up unit and I'm quite excited to get it out into the open and let her stretch her legs.

Hi! Any updates on how well this improves the shots as compared to the stock unit? Did you install it in a Tanaka or G&G?

Still hard to tell. Nearest field is 45 minute drive away. Has definitely improved my fps as the stock chamber was cracked. If you don't plan on using the stock hop I'd highly suggest using theVSR hop up.

I installed mine using the BGS model hop up, have a lot of shots still to go to bed in the rubber.

*edit: it's in a Tanaka BTW.
