oddball: how dose that propan thing work?

It is an old bird scarer I got on eBay.

You can make your own with a 12v solenoid valve, 1BAR regulator, spark coil, spark plug and a 3 way rocker switch.

You don't need the fancy timing CCT's just count 123-4 and and flick a switch from gas solenoid to spark coil and back to centre neutral position, and it should fire.

You also need a £3 propane/butane bottle good for about 300 shots :good:

I used a scatter bird as shown here the timer is safer than guess work with a switch.

You want a small mixed gas reg like this one

I am trying to remember the site I got mine from, if I find the details I will post them.

You also should have a flash back supressor in the pipe.
You need about 1-3 BAR pressure and a solenoid that will handle that pressure.

I got the scatter bird for about £50 but new they are over £300

If you know someone into home electronic projects they could make a 555 timer CCT to run the bits with some thought. However many would use a PIC chip these days and program it.

thanks i will start whit that projekt when the pak is finnished :) in the start i will use fireworks :P but i think thats expensive:/ u will get more cuestions in the future mate!:D

I think this is the one you want :good:

It is for fitting on the fuelgas disposable bottle.

You can use the cheap Butain/Propane mix bottles from B&Q for £3.50 and get about 300 shots from one.

Great
Did you have plans to work off or just guessing dimensions. Would love to get an idea etc of dimensions or plans so we may be able to make one here in the UK
